Part 4: Turning The Fifth Part

"You've given up?" Hank yelled.

"My love," Pavel tried to explain. "It's been ninety years and I haven't felt even the slightest tingle toward the missing piece. I can't spend every day wondering where he is."

"But you can't give up," Hank argued. "Where does that leave us if you do?"

"Right where we are," Pavel replied. "Just us four." He ran his hands through his dark hair. "Please, just go and enjoy the all-star game with Nick. Chris and I will be there watching and we'll talk more after."

"You're damn right we will," Hank replied, not ready to stop arguing. "Cause I'm not letting you give up."

Pavel smiled softly and shooed Hank away. He had to pack. He sighed when he was alone. What Hank didn't understand was that he'd been wondering if their fifth part even existed since the night Chris had been turned. He'd been so confident that they were about to be complete. The fact that it had been so long just underscored his fear that he would never find the rest of his soul.

"You two done fighting?" Chris asked, sticking his head into the room.

"I hope so," Pavel smiled. "He wants me to keep looking for something we haven't found."

"But he took that year and traveled all over the world," Chris replied. "If you two can't find him -"

"Chris," Pavel interrupted. "Please, don't worry. Just make sure Nick is ready."

Chris stepped into the room. "He is," he told Pavel as he wrapped his arms around him. "Which means I can worry about you all I want."

"You don't have to," Pavel insisted.

"It's this or I short-sheet your bed. Your choice," Chris smiled.

Pavel sighed over-dramatically. "You were my only mistake," he teased before leaning down and kissing Chris deeply to prove he was kidding.

Chris laughed. "I was one of the best things you ever did."

"Yes you are," he agreed. "Why don't you go bug Hank and make sure he's ready? I'm anxious to get to New York for the game."

"You just want to see them play without playing with them," Chris pointed out.

"Of course." Pavel smiled. "I can ogle over them all I want and not have to focus on the puck." He winked at Chris.

"Now you know why I agreed to the backup spot," Chris smirked and went to look for Hank.

"You're playing with some good players," Pavel commented as he leaned against the wall outside of the banquet hall.

"Of course," Nick replied. "Too bad two of the best are going to be watching."

"I want to watch," Pavel winked. "I want to watch you two play while Chris and I plan on what we're going to do to you when we get back to the hotel."

Nick smirked. "It's a good thing we have the big suite, isn't it?" He looked around. "Where is Chris? I thought he'd be out here with you."

"You kidding?" Pavel laughed. "He's in there talking to the goalies. When I left he was defending his helmet." He shrugged. "I told him I was coming out for some air and if he found anyone with his sense of humor to bring them out to talk."

"You want him to find someone like him?" Hank asked in disbelief. "You think there's another man like him out there?"

"Why not?" he laughed. "You never know."
"Which is why you never know when we'll find the fifth," Nick said innocently.

Pavel looked at him for a long time. "Hank got to you."

"He's right. You can't give up."

"I already have," Pavel smiled. "And I'm happy with it."

"You're not," Hank scolded.

"Yes I am," he insisted. "I have you three, I'm very happy. I tell you what, after the all-star game we can really talk about this, okay? I'll even spend the entire off-season looking for him again."

"Thank you," Nick said just as his cell phone rang. "It's Chris. If he's calling about having pucks shot at him again, you have to deal with him."

Pavel laughed as he walked away, enjoying the cool night air. He turned the corner, lost in his thoughts, as he ran into another man. When he grasped the hand that flung out to steady him, he cried out and pulled farther away before collapsing to his knees.

"Are you okay?" the man asked.

Pavel blinked through tearing eyes at the man in front of him. He was vaguely aware of Hank and Nick running toward them.

"Who are you?" Nick demanded and Hank knelt next to Pavel.

"Ryan Miller. I play for Buffalo." He looked at the three men. "You're Nick Lidstrom, Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk. Oh God, are you okay?" he asked again looking at Pavel.

"Pav?" Hank whispered. "What's wrong?"

"It's..." Pavel looked at him and wiped the tears from his face. "Five."

"Are you sure? Of course you're sure," Hank whispered, looking up at Ryan as Nick knelt next to them. Nick looked up at Ryan contemplatively.

"Pav?" Chris called as he turned the corner.

"I fine," Pavel replied as he slowly got to his feet. "I not hear him and was shocked," he continued, breaking up his English as Hank and Nick rolled their eyes.

"Are you sure?" Chris asked as he looked up at Ryan, glaring fiercely. "He hurt you?"

"Down tiger," Nick laughed. He leaned over and whispered in Chris' ear. "Five."

"I'm sorry," Ryan apologized again. "We both turned the corner at the wrong time."

Pavel stood with Hank's help. "It fine. My fault," he told Ryan.

"You sure you're okay?"

"Yes," Pavel replied. "I fine." He smiled brightly. "Come, let go back inside and get all-star their dinner," he said, looking at Nick. "How long you play?" he then asked Ryan.

"This will be my fifth year with the Sabres. I'll go with you," Ryan offered.

"Sure," Pavel smiled. "You like it? Play goalie?"

"I love it," Ryan replied. "The ice, it talks to me," he shrugged. "I can hear the puck."

"Chris, I think we found twin brother," Pavel teased.

"You just don't listen enough to hear it," Chris smirked.

"How can he listen?" Nick laughed. "He and Hank are always talking in that weird mix of Swedish and Russian only they understand."

Ryan laughed and held a hand out to Chris. "Ryan Miller. You weren't here when I introduced myself earlier."

"Chris Osgood," he replied, shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you. I've seen you play. You're an amazing goalie."

"Thanks. You too. I watched you win the Cup for Detroit in 98," Ryan said with a smile.

Chris waved him off. "I prefer to talk about the game in April of 97," he smirked.

"Oh God," Nick groaned good naturedly. "Here we go."

"You wanna take on Dom? That way you'll have a new story?" Hank teased as Pavel laughed.

"I can't do that, it wouldn't be fair," Chris said. "I mean, the guy trips over his own stick."
Ryan laughed. "I remember that game too," he replied.

"Of course you do," Chris stated with a smirk. "Everyone remembers that game. I kicked his ass."

"Which is why we watch you when you're out in public," Nick teased.

"Dinner?" Hank prompted. "I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry."

Ryan laughed and held the door open for them.

"He's the fifth?"

"Yes," Pavel nodded. "I'm sure. When he touched me...yes, he's the fifth. No doubt."

"What do we do?"

"When do we approach him?"

"Is there any chance he knows about vampires?"

"I don't know," Pavel admitted. "Movie trick? Invite him over to watch a movie and put in something with vampires? Fight with the myths and see what he says?"

"We're the opposing team. Will he want to spend time with us?" Hank asked.

"It's the All-Star game," Pavel pointed out. "We're having fun, I'm sure he'd agree. He did seem like a good guy."

"I liked him," Nick said. "Once I figured out that he didn't hurt you."

"I'm sorry about that. I just didn't expect to run into him. He startled me. It felt so weird touching his hand that I cried out." Pavel smiled softly. "Sorry."

"Don't be," Nick told him.

"We're just glad that you found him," Chris added.

"Me too," Pavel whispered and pulled Hank into his arms. "You want to call him Chris? See if he wants to come over and watch a movie?"
Chris nodded as Pavel huddled into Hank. "Of course," he agreed. He squeezed both of his mates shoulders before leaving the room to make the call.

~*~*~

"You like vampire movie?" Pavel asked as he opened the door and let Ryan into their room.

"Of course? Doesn't everyone?” Ryan asked. "I used to read Dracula every year."

"What about the real myth?" Pavel asked.

"What about them? I know that they can walk in daylight and don't turn into bats," Ryan joked. "But it's been a few years since I read up on anything."

Pavel nodded. "Interesting. You right though. Everything I know say they not turn into bats either."

"It's too bad they're not real." Ryan laughed sheepishly. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but when I was younger I used to want to meet vampires. I always thought it'd be cool to be a vampire."

The four men shared a brief look.

"Really?" Hank asked. "There were legends in Sweden when I was growing up that they were real. They weren't the monsters some legends made them out to be." He tilted his head and studied the man. "Why would you want to be a vampire?"

"Honestly? No idea," Ryan said. "I just wanted to be. Weird, I know. What are vampires like in Sweden?”

"Good, honest men." Hank smiled. "Kind men that have a deep desire to learn all they can about everything. My favorite was a young Russian man, he was the last born-vampire, meaning he was born a vampire not turned later in life, who wandered the world looking for his mates and there ended up being four instead of the three he originally thought."

"Sounds intriguing, tell me more," Ryan said as they wandered over to the couch in the suite.

"You hear about vampire instead of watch movie?" Pavel asked.

"Sure," Ryan grinned.

"Well, this young Russian vampire, we call him Pasha, he had mate that refused to fasten shoes. So, he created shoestrings to keep his mate's shoes on while he played soccer." Pavel laughed, ignoring the glare Hank shot his way.

"I agree with the mate," Hank said. "It takes longer to put shoes on."

Nick and Chris both laughed, having long since grown used to Hank's dislike of shoestrings.

"Vampires that played soccer?" Ryan shook his head. "Amazing. What else did they do?"

"Besides have lots of se-oof!" Chris gasped when Nick smacked his arm.

Pavel smiled indulgently. "Pasha and his mate traveled a great deal. But what they liked almost as much as soccer was hockey."

"They played hockey?" Ryan laughed. "That surprises me."

"Why?" Pavel asked curiously.

"I've never thought about vampires playing sports. I used to try to figure out what they'd do with their day. I always thought it would be boring to sit in a dark, dank castle in the middle of Transylvania."

Pavel laughed. "What I have heard about vampires is that they enjoy learning. Pasha, according to legend, was very fluent in many languages and a great source of knowledge for his mates and friends." He blinked when he realized how he was speaking. He winked at Ryan. "Let's keep this between you and me. I enjoy tormenting reporters with my broken English too much to have it get out that I speak better than most of them."

"Tormenting the vultures is fun," Ryan laughed. He leaned back speculatively. "Tell me more about Pasha. Are there any books about him or was the tale passed down orally?"

Chris snickered and Nick smacked his arm again. "Forgive our goalie. He seems to have been struck by a sudden case of laughter."

"Orally," Pavel replied, shaking his head fondly at Chris. "There was one book but he mostly lives a quiet life with his mates. What would you like to know about Pasha? I will tell you everything, if you have time to hear it."

"I have nowhere to be until practice tomorrow afternoon. How did Pasha meet his mates?"

"His first mate he met in Sweden, according to legend. Pasha was twenty-five years old, still an infant in regards to other vampires, and followed his mate around for five years before approaching him. Pasha was very lucky; his mate's family was among the trusted friends that the vampires would turn to if they needed to go to other towns for anything." Pavel replied, his eyes far away as he thought about his first meeting with Hank.

"His mate knew of vampires and had seen Pasha at a distance, but didn't know what he was," Hank went on. "Legend has it that he sensed the connection immediately. He was turned soon after, fulfilling the first step of Pasha's quest to find his mates and the rest of his soul."

"His soul?" Ryan interrupted.

"Yes. A vampire's soul is broken when he is born and the pieces are spread out. Pasha was lucky and found the largest piece quickly," Nick explained.

"How many parts are they broken into?"

"It varies. Three or four is common. Only two, or more than four, pieces is almost unheard of."

"And how many was Pasha's broken into?"

"He thought four but soon after turning his fourth lover, he realized he was wrong and that there was a fifth. The problem with Pasha was that he thought he was wrong and there wasn't a fifth, due to the fact that many years went by and he never felt his soul calling to him. So he gave up," Pavel replied with a shrug.

"How could he think he was wrong? How did long did it take to find his first three mates?" Ryan asked, totally engrossed in the tale. "Where did he find them?"

"It took seventy years for him to find his second mate and the third was two years later. His second mate was the grandson of a chosen, one the vampires feed from, and the third they met in Canada when hockey was just being formed into the NHL," Pavel continued. "When ninety years passed, his belief that he was wrong only magnified into a deep hole inside him. He was happy with the three men in his life and was content to only be with them. He no longer wanted to bother looking for the fourth. Pasha's problem was that his mates were all strong willed and determined to make him happy. So they never dropped the issue, in fact they argued with him repeatedly because he had given up hope of finding the fifth."

"His mates were right," Hank said.

"Perhaps," Pavel agreed with a soft smile.

"What happened? Did Pasha finally find the fifth?"

"Yes but unfortunately this story doesn't have an ending. Pasha hasn't approached the fifth yet, the fifth doesn't even know," Pavel replied.

"Yet," Nick finished, shooting a glare in Pavel's direction.

Pavel glared back. "Yet," he said. "Pasha isn't sure he's going to approach the fifth."

"If he doesn't his mates will," Chris warned.

"Wait," Ryan said. "Yet?"

"This is a real time story," Pavel tried to backtrack. "You see Pasha and his mates are still alive."

"How do you know them?" Ryan asked, watching the four of them carefully.

Nick shrugged. "We know everybody."

"Sure you do," Ryan replied with a trace of sarcasm. "Do you know them? Are you some of the chosen or friends you were telling me about?"

"No," Chris said honestly. "We're not chosen."

"Then how do you know all about this?" Ryan paused. "This isn't some elaborate joke is it? Trying to get one over on the gullible goalie?"

"You really think the four of us could come up with a story like this?" Hank asked.

"No," Ryan replied. "It would be hard."

"What do you think?" Pavel asked curiously. "Do you think we know them? If you do, how do you think we know them?"

Ryan was quiet for a long moment as he followed the clues that had been left out. "Where were Pasha's first two mates from?"

"Sweden," Chris replied before Nick could smack his arm again.

"And the third was Canadian," Ryan said out loud. He looked at Pavel for a long moment.

"Yes?" he asked.

"No wonder you still look like you're just a kid," Ryan said to Chris.

Pavel smiled nervously. "You're taking this very well."
Ryan shrugged. "I told you, I've always liked vampires. Since you've just told me this story, one that I assume you keep hidden from most people, can I assume that you think I'm the fifth?"

"I know you are," Pavel whispered.

"What do you think?" Hank asked as he protectively grabbed Pavel's arm. "Knowing that you're mated to four men? If you are turned, I mean."

"I .... I really don't know," Ryan admitted. "I thought I was coming over to watch movie with some of the best players of the game, not learn that vampires are real."

"Tell you what," Pavel said softly. "Take as long as you need to think. You know how to find us when you've made your decision. For now, we'll watch that movie, okay?"

"Sure," Ryan agreed. The opening credits were just starting when he asked, "What's it like to be a vampire?"

"It's great," Chris replied. "You learn so much about the world and other people. I've never regretted it."

"Me neither," Nick agreed.

"Knowing that the people you love will always be there - " Hank smiled, " - is one of the greatest feelings in the world."

Ryan nodded and went back to watching the movie. "What happens if I don't want to be turned?"

"I won't be able to be around you," Pavel replied. "The pull from your soul to mine will only make things worse."

Ryan was quiet for a while longer. "Tell me about yourselves."

"I'm Pasha," Pavel replied with a smile. "What more could you want to know about me?"

"What do you like? What do you do? What have you seen? All of you," Ryan said, glancing at the others too. "What was it like for you when you met Pasha?"

"When I met him I was honored. It was a real honor to be a vampire's mate when I was younger," Hank replied.

"I was in shock," Nick replied. "In fact, I did refuse for a few days but I changed my mind soon."

"I couldn't believe it," Chris stated as he shook his head. "But I didn't know they were vampires until I walked in on Pav biting Hank."

"What did you do?" Ryan asked.

"I thought it was a joke at first. Revenge for a prank that I'd pulled," Chris admitted. "I realized quickly that I was wrong. I took a day to think about it, but the answer was obvious for me. It's an adventure." He shrugged slightly. "I knew it's where I belonged." He took Nick's hand and smirked. "They might sometimes wonder what they did to get stuck with me though."

"I've said it before and I'll say it again, you were my only mistake," Pavel teased with a bright smile. "And I love you for it."

"Of course you do," Chris teased back. "Everyone loves me."

Ryan laughed at the easy banter. "Can I see your fangs?"

Hank moved closer to him and extended his fangs. "Sure," he replied as he opened his mouth.

Ryan lightly pointed at the tooth. "Does it hurt to be fed from?"

"No," Chris replied. "It actually feels really good."

"May I ask you a question?" Nick looked at Ryan.

"Of course."

"You've had sex, yes?"

"Of course."

Nick laughed. "You know that feeling, just before you come? That's what it felt like when Hank fed from me the first time. And that's how it feels every time one of them bites me when we're not having sex."

"And when you're having sex?"

"It's like the world has suddenly been pulled out from underneath your feet," Hank replied. "In one-hundred and sixty two years, I can say that I haven't gotten used to it. And I never want to."

Ryan nodded thoughtfully. He was quiet again before asking. "What would you do if I said yes? That I wanted to be turned tonight?"

The three mates turned to Pavel.

"We discuss how you want to be turned. Find out if you have any additional questions and make sure you have no doubts. I won't turn you if you are unsure," Pavel replied.

"What are my options?" Ryan asked.

"With each of my mates, they wanted to be fed from, have sex and then be turned. The only thing that has to be done is my turning you, anything prior is up to you," Pavel smiled.

"How long does it take?" Ryan asked, trying to figure out all of his questions. "How does feeding work?"

"We have chosen all over the world that we feed from and if you have someone in Buffalo that you trust with your life, you can share your secret with him and have him as a chosen. You won't have to leave Buffalo," Pavel smiled. "But we will want to spend the off season with you. And the actual turning takes about an hour."

"Do you want to be turned now?" Nick asked.

Ryan shrugged. "Let me think about it, okay?"

"Of course," Pavel smiled.

"Thanks," Ryan smiled. He changed the subject as he looked over at Chris. "You've been playing since the start?"

"Pretty much," Chris said.

Ryan shook his head. "No wonder you use the mask that you have.'

"I like my helmet," Chris pouted.

"What was Gordie Howe like?" he asked Nick.

"I'm just glad you wear one," Nick told Chris. "He was great. The only person with a bigger presence on ice is Steve. And people will debate you on that one."

"This is unbelievable." Ryan smiled. "Did you go to the games at Lake Placid?"

"Of course," Hank replied. "We had mixed feelings, of course, but we had been spending enough time in the States to appreciate the win."

"What else have you done?"

"Mostly just enjoyed things," Nick replied.

"And have lots of sex," Chris teased, catching the pillow that Nick tossed at his head.

"It's the best way to keep you off the ice," Pavel smirked.

"And Hank off the soccer field."

Ryan laughed and focused his attention back on the movie.

Pavel smiled and pulled Hank close and dropped a quick kiss to his neck. "Can I watch you bite him?" Ryan asked after several long minutes.

"Of course," Pavel smiled. He kissed Hank softly on the lips. He sunk his fangs into Hank's neck, feeling the familiar flare of their bond.

"Pavel," Hank moaned as he relaxed in his arms. Pavel pulled back and lovingly licked Hank's neck before looking at Ryan.

"Was it what you expected?" he asked curiously.

"Wha? Yeah," Ryan said, shifting slightly.

"They are so hot together," Nick commented. "It still makes me hard to see them together."

"I still tell you I'll grow my hair out for you," Chris teased.

"You did that in the sixties." Nick raised an eyebrow. "Remember?"

"Are you saying I shouldn't do that again?"

"I like the goatee better," Nick replied with a quick wink.

Hank moaned quietly, drawing the attention of the other three men, as Pavel ran his fangs along his neck again.

"Fuck, they're hot," Ryan moaned.

Chris laughed. "You should watch them make love. It's like no one else in the world exists."

"What about you two?"

"We're hot too," Chris smirked.

"No, I mean don't you two get jealous?"

"No. We have each other. And we know that we're all a part of each other," Nick said.

Ryan was silent for a few seconds. "If Pavel has Hank and you two have each other, what am I?"

"The man that will make us whole," Pavel replied and moved to sit next to him. "You will never feel left out, I promise you that." He gently touched Ryan's arm. "Let me ask you, do you feel it? Do you feel yourself being drawn to us?"

"Yes, I do. It's what makes this whole thing believable," Ryan said.

Pavel nodded and turned his attention back to the movie as the end credits began to roll. "Would you like to watch another movie? Or would you like to go back to your room?" he curiously asked.

"I think I'm going to go back to my room," Ryan answered. "You've given me a lot to think about."

"Take all the time you need," Pavel told him.

"Just decide before the game is over and we all split up again?" Ryan teased.

Pavel shook his head. "You could show up on our doorstep in the middle of the night and I'd be happy."

The four vampires waited until the door closed quietly behind the man before looking at each other.

"Do you think he'll do it?" Chris asked.

"I don't know," Pavel admitted. "But at least he didn't run away screaming." He looked at his watch before sighing. "We need to get to bed ourselves. Our all-stars have a big day tomorrow."

"We love you," Hank said as all three men wrapped their arms around Pavel.

"I love you too," Pavel replied, breathing in the scent of his lovers. "I really didn't think we'd ever find him. You guys were right. I never should have given up hope. I am sorry that I fought with you about this. I shouldn't have," he whispered.

"That doesn't matter now. All that matter is that you know he's the fifth one. Is he the last? Can you feel it now?"

"Yes, he is the last. I'm as sure of it as I have ever been. I felt such ease when the four of you were near me." He smiled. "Everything will be okay. I'm sure he'll come to us eventually. For now I am happy to wait and spend more time enjoying things. Namely hockey," he teased.

"Us and hockey, what more could you want?" Chris winked.

"Nothing," Pavel replied with a smile as he stood. "Let's go to bed."

The other three nodded and headed toward bed.

~*~*~

The weeks turned into months before the men stepped off of the plane and walked toward the waiting vehicles.

"It's good to be in Toronto," Hank smiled.

"Yeah," Chris replied. "We'll just see how good this goes."

"What?" Pavel asked.

"Lady Byng? Norris? Awards ceremony?" Chris laughed as they climbed into the waiting car.

"I don't think I'll get it again this year," Pavel replied with a shrug. "But I'm sure that Nick will get another Norris trophy to put in the house."

The ride to the hotel was quick due to the early morning hour and soon the four men were inside their suite.

"Why hasn't he called yet?" Nick asked, glancing at the phone as if he expected it to ring.

"I doubt he even knows we're here," Hank replied with a shrug. "He'll call when he's ready."

"What if he doesn't?"

"Then he doesn't," Pavel said in resignation.

"But he should."
"What has you so worked up?" Hank laughed. "Chris, go calm him down."

"I have to unpack, you do it," Chris retorted. Nick's insulted sputters were interrupted by a knock on the door.

The four men shared a long look before Hank opened the door.

"Hi."

"Hi," Hank smiled and stepped out of the way. "Come in. What brings you here?"

"I was hoping I could get something from you."

Yeah?" Hank asked. "What's that?"

"I forgot my tie," Homer admitted. "Any of you have one I could borrow?"

Nick laughed loudly as he opened his bag. Tossing a plain black tie at their teammate, he smiled. "Don't lose my tie. I'll want it back."

"I'll do my best," Homer said. Another knock sounded seconds after the door closed behind him.

"Now what did you forget?" Nick asked, pulling the door open.

"Forget? Was I supposed to bring something?"

"Just you," Nick said with a smile as he pulled him into the room.

"Sorry," Ryan shrugged. "I needed time but I'm sure of my answer."

"Yeah," Chris asked as Pavel and Hank froze, waiting for Ryan to speak again. "What's your answer?"

"I'm ready," Ryan said. "I'm positive."

Pavel exhaled audibly. "Thank you," he whispered.

"No, thank you."

"How do you want to be turned?" Pavel asked. "We'll do anything you want. Just let us know."
Ryan looked between all of them before answering.

"I want one of you to feed from me," he replied. "I don't care which one, I just want to feel it and know what it feels like before."

"And sex?" Chris asked. Ryan shrugged.

"Doesn't matter, does it? You told me sex is blood so I'll be bitten when you come. If you want to have sex with me before, I'm all for it but I'll leave that up to you four."

"We'll feed from you and then see if you've changed your mind," Pavel said. He looked as his mates. "It's up to you who feeds. I cannot."

The three men looked at each other and smiled.

"Play you for it," Chris smiled.

"You're on," Nick laughed as they huddled together. Their arms moved quickly before one of them leaned back with a triumphant smile.

"Ha! Rock, I win."

"You cheated," Chris accused.

"I would never!"

"Two out of three?" Nick asked.

"Um guys," Ryan interrupted. "Can all three of you do it? Or would that drain me too much?"

"If they only take a little," Pavel replied. "It won't be a problem."

"I'll go first," Chris said, stepping forward. He smiled softly at Ryan. "You won't regret this," he assured him, pulling him down for a brief kiss before sinking is fangs into Ryan's neck. He pulled back a few seconds later and licked the wound closed.

"I'll go next," Nick said as he stepped forward. Kissing Ryan softly before leaning over, he sunk his fangs on the opposite side. He pulled back quickly and licked the wound closed.

"My turn," Hank smiled, his eyes slightly glazed with lust.

He kissed the side of Ryan's mouth before sinking his fang in just above where Chris had. "How do you feel?" he asked when he'd pulled back.

"Like I'm about to come," Ryan admitted. "God, you sure I can't stay human and experience this every night?"

"Feeling it when you're a vampire is so much stronger," Nick replied, whispering in his ear. "You ready for Pav? Or do you want something more?"

Ryan looked over at Pavel. "Will you be okay if I do?"

"I get to watch you with those three, of course," Pavel said, but his smile was strained as the lure of the bond and the rest of his soul pulled at him.

"I know what I want," Ryan said as he walked toward Pavel. "I want you to fuck me and then turn me."

"If you want one of them," Pavel said as he took a step back. "You need to do it before. You can't change your mind, the pull is already strong and will only get stronger the second I taste your blood."

"I can have them after," Ryan said, following Pavel's move. "After all, we'll have forever, right?"

Pavel licked his lips, shocked that his fangs were already extended. He could hear Hank, Nick and Chris moving around the room but he ignored them. The only thing he was concerned about was the man directly in front of him.

"Yes," he replied and stepped forward, kissing Ryan hard as he wrapped his arms tightly around him.

Clothes were shed as they made their way to the bed, not letting go of each other any more than necessary. "Thank you," Pavel whispered, running his hands through Ryan's long hair as he pushed him onto the bed, covering Ryan's body with his own.

"I should thank you," Ryan gasped as a slick finger was pushed against his opening.

"This might not last long," Pavel warned as he pushed a second finger inside and stretched him quickly.

"I know it won't," Ryan said, pushing down on Pavel's fingers.

He removed his fingers and quickly coated his erection before pushing lightly against the stretched opening. "You ready?" he breathed, his fangs making clear indentations on his lower lip and his breathing heavy.

"Yes," was the reply as Ryan pushed toward his hard cock. Pavel nodded and pushed in effortlessly.

Pavel didn't stop until he was fully sheathed. He took a deep breath, fighting the urge to turn Ryan right that moment as his soul called to him. He pulled Ryan to him, kissing him deeply.

Ryan kissed him back hard as his fingers wrapped through the short dark hair. He winced slightly when his tongue was nicked but only kissed the other man back harder as Pavel sucked greedily on his tongue.

"Fuck yes," Ryan moaned, breaking his mouth away as Pavel fucked him harder. He wrapped his legs high around the other man's waist and matched his every thrust.

They pushed each other hard, the pace escalating. "Pav," Ryan begged as their sweaty bodies continued to slam together.

Pavel groaned and leaned back, wrapping his hand around Ryan's leaking cock. "Come for me," he ordered, his voice deep with lust as his eyes flashed amber.

A choked sob escaped Ryan as came hard, his release coating Pavel's hand as he clenched hard around his dick.

"I love you," Pavel whispered before sinking his fangs into his neck.

He pulled back as soon as he came before sliding out of Ryan's body and pulling the gasping man into his arms.

"That's it?" Ryan teased.

"No," Pavel laughed. "I'll start the turning now." He reached out for his mates and drank from each of them briefly. "You will be overwhelmingly horny when you're body is done with its transformation. Don't fight it, just go with it. We are all here and we love you." He lowered his head, pierced Ryan's neck and began to drink slowly.

"Almost done," Pavel whispered, holding his bleed wrist in front of Ryan's mouth. "Drink. This will be done before you know it."

Pavel watched as Ryan latched onto his wrist and sucked softly. He ran his fingers through the long dark hair before pulling his arm back.

"How do you feel?" Hank worriedly asked as they all wrapped themselves around Ryan, holding the softly whimpering vampire.

"Almost whole," Pavel said with a soft smile. "To be honest, I don't know what will happen when he claims me."

"We'll find out together," Chris promised, reaching out to take one of Pavel's hands, linking them together over Ryan's body.

They continued to hold Ryan through the transformation. When his eyes blinked open, Pavel carefully pulled away.

"I need," Ryan groaned as he reached for one of them and kissed him hard. Pavel smiled as he watched the four men on the bed.

"We're already stretched," Hank told Ryan as he kissed him back. Ryan growled low and took the lube that was handed toward him. Covering his erection he thrust into Hank with one smooth motion.

The pace was brutal as Ryan slammed into him hard. With another low growl, he extended his fangs and bit Hank, his cock pulsating deep inside the other man as he came. Hank leaned down and pierced Ryan's neck, completing the first part of the bond.

Nick moved forward. He kissed Hank quickly as they switched spots. He met Ryan's franticness with a calmness that wasn't effected by the still quick and brutal desire racing though them all.

"Pav?" Hank asked. "You're nervous; I can feel it through the bond."

"Whatever happens," Pavel said, ignoring Hank's worry. "Just know I love you."

"You're scaring me," Hank admitted as Nick and Ryan found their release. Chris was next as Ryan moved and knelt between the shorter man's legs.

"Don't," Pavel smiled reassuringly. "I just don't know. My ancestors never said what happened once the soul was complete and I've never asked. Everything will be fine."

Chris twisted, pulling loud moans out of them both. They lasted only a couple of minutes before Ryan bit down on Chris. Chris followed only a moment later. Ryan turned to Pavel as Nick pulled Chris away.

He moved slowly and laid down next to Ryan, spreading his legs in invitation. "I am ready," he said, his voice slightly nervous. Ryan nodded and thrust inside, moaning loudly as he set a fast rhythm.

Pavel cried out loudly as Ryan entered him. He wrapped his legs around him, forcing him in deeper. "Ryan," he groaned.

"Yes," Ryan moaned, quickening the pace. The three men watched as Ryan and Pavel bit each other simultaneously, both coming hard and fast.

Pavel laid there with his eyes closed for several long seconds after Ryan pulled out before arching off of the bed, a hoarse cry torn from his throat.

Hank cried out, falling next to Pavel.

"Henrik," Pavel whispered, wrapping his arms tightly around him. "I feel it. My soul is finally at rest."

"I feel it," he whispered, pulling close. "Nicklas," he said, reaching for the others.

Nick and Chris walked over and the five men cuddled close on the bed.

"Are you okay Pasha?" Hank whispered, kissing Pavel's temple softly.

"Yes." He slowly opened his eyes. "Everything is clearer. Do you see it?" He smiled and kissed each man gently. "Thank you. All four of you. I...I wouldn't know this feeling if not for you."

Nick shook his head, sitting next to him. "You are the one that brought us together. You are the center of us."

Pavel smiled as Ryan sat up.

"I don't mean to be a burden, especially since this is a really important time and all but - "

"You're hungry," Pavel interrupted. "Put on some clothes, I'll be right back." He pulled himself off of the bed and put on his pants and a t-shirt.

"You'll need a chosen in Buffalo," Hank commented. "Is there anyone on your team you trust that much?"

"Yeah," Ryan said. "There are one or two who probably won't laugh or try to put me in an asylum when I tell them."

"Good," Pavel said softly. "If they're here, we'll tell them with you, if you like. I'll be right back," he promised.

"How do you feel?" Chris asked Ryan.

"Tired," he admitted. "But really good. I feel so relaxed, so focused."

"Good," Nick said as he pulled Chris into his arms.

Pavel stepped back into the room, Cheli, Kris, Mikael and Tomas behind him. "All four of you need to eat," he scolded as he took Tomas' arm and walked over to Ryan. "You will feed from him. I will be right here to make sure you don't take too much, okay?"

"What about you?" Hank, Nick and Chris asked at once.

Pavel frowned briefly at them before shaking his head and smiling softly. "I already fed. I told you, stop worrying. I'm the one that takes care of things."

Hank glared hard at him before standing. "We'll never stop worrying," he replied. "Just like you will never stop telling us that you don't need us worrying over you." He squeezed Mikael's arm tightly and offered a small smile before pressing a chaste kiss to the man's lips and sinking his fangs in his friend's neck.

Ryan watched as Chris and Nick did the same with Kris and Cheli before smiling nervously at Tomas.

"Follow your instincts," Pavel told him.

"I...I don't want to hurt him."

"You won't," Pavel assured him. "Lick his neck and your fangs will extend. Pierce the skin and suck softly. Let his heartbeat talk to you. I won't let you take more than he can give and one of us will be with you until you are confident enough to feed on your own."

Ryan nodded and traced Tomas' neck with a finger before following the path with his tongue. He tentatively pushed his new fangs into the thin skin.

The taste of blood exploded through his senses as he slowly began to drink. He focused on the heartbeat underneath him. He pulled back, gasping slightly.

"Very good," Pavel praised. "Now lick the wound closed."

Ryan nodded and ran his tongue along the wound, watching in wonder as it closed.

"He's almost as good as Nick," Tomas teased.

"That's easy to do," Hank said with a smirk.

Ryan laughed, the teasing easing the last of his worry. Now all he had to do was figure out who to be his chosen in Buffalo.
