I had a pretty decent weekend *nods*.
I recently learned that the new grandbaby has had the due date bumped up to the end of July. To that end, I've started to knit a baby blanket because if I don't start now, I'll never finish in time. Bonus of bonus, I thought I'd have to buy some yarn for this project as the majority of yarn in my stash isn't suitable for a baby for a variety of reasons. But lo and behold, I found some that works and is relatively neutral-ish gender-wise. It's going to be in white/cream, purples and blues and it's coming along nicely already.
I'm actually a little impressed that my wrist isn't giving me too much hell over knitting for several hours each day, but I'm also still wearing the brace. I did discover that I need to wear the terry cloth wrist band over the brace as the yarn got snagged in the edge of the Velcro closures several times. The upside is that was an easy fix. The downside is that it increases the warmth in that area to a slightly uncomfortable degree when it's already really warm due to the brace itself and the temp swirling around the 30C mark (with humidex).
The Hubby also reminded me that one of our nephews is also expecting a baby with his GF and that baby is due a little before grandbaby 2. *sigh* There is no logistical way I can make 2 baby blankets in less than a month with my wrist still doing it's impression of a lame wing. That bugs me as I always knit a baby blanket for the new babies in the family.
I've been pecking away at ZA: Week 1 but not making a lot of progress as I honestly am trying to rest my wrist for the most part. The owner of Yaoifix knows of injury and has offered me the ability of skipping the chapter submission for this month. I'm ahead of posting with chapters so it wouldn't affect posting to the site. I'm going to see what I can get accomplished, but I may need to take her up on that and I'm not terribly happy about it.
I have also been putting off writing the synopsis for Slip because I really hate doing those. I'm justifying it to myself by saying that I haven't gotten the grammar edits back yet so technically the story isn't "done", but that's a line of bullshit. I just don't wanna sit my ass down and write the damn thing because I loathe doing them.
I'm also going to be purchasing Khale's new clawed hands today *bounces*. I'm pretty excited about that and can't wait to get them. I still need to purchase S-hooks for the new hands and will likely do that today as well so that when the clawed hands get here, I'll actually be able to put them on Khale.
I have also recently discovered a few new things about some of the characters living in my head. Mered (one of Moswen's brothers, and one of the mains in Some Velvet Morning) is considered kinky even for an Awh'anise. He actually really enjoys being double-stuffed and loves it when he can convince his twin, Makis, to fist him. I have now planned a scene for them (Makis, Mered and Kushaiah) where not only does Mered get double-stuffed, but in a later scene, he's lovingly double-fisted as well.
Khale has a fairly traumatic introduction to sex courtesy of his father, an Ice Demon. This experience also awakens his innate abilities to freeze with a touch and makes it extraordinarily difficult to find a bedmate that he doesn't accidentally kill in the throes of passion. Khale's father is... he's a horrible creature that preys on whatever weakness he can for his own amusement. In the early years before Khale learns to control his ability (which his father wouldn't help him with and his mother, a Frost Elf, couldn't provide the missing elements based on his demon half), his father is the only one he can turn to for sexual relief. Poor guy couldn't even masturbate without putting his own dick in danger of freezing solid. Yes, I plan to write something to the effect of all that at some point *grins*.
Guy (ZA: Week 1) is uncut. Tracey has never been with a guy who wasn't cut. Throw together, hit stir and watch the hotness froth up. The first encounter is just a mutual handjob and I do believe there will now be docking involved *grins*. Guy also enjoys bottoming more than topping (mostly because he likes to be tied up and it's hard to top while hog tied) but it's still fairly close as to what position he'll take the majority of the time. Say... 55/45 for bottoming. Tracey will go either way and doesn't have a real preference.
