no more smoke
i am now entering my second week as a non-smoker. i quit last week. i'd been smoking for half of my life (aside from a six month period around 1998), so i figured it was time. i've actually changed a lot about my life in the last five months. i'm almost a different person.
i found a The Ex cd in my closet last night that i hadn't listened to for a while...and this band is nothing short of brilliant. I don't know how they do it, but they have the most amazing sounding drums and guitars...and it's consistent across their records, the drums always have this sort of hollow crispness..and the guitars always sound crunchy and dirty...it's mind-blowing. and then GW Sok has such an amazing voice and it fits the music so well. these guys are rad.
