It's too nice out for me to be inside . . .

Friday, Paula and I decided to take out to dinner, her father, and good friend Aseel, to this new little restaurant we discovered not too long ago, Anjou. It's incredibly appealing, and the wide selection of French-Asian fusion food is refreshing. You can crave anything Korean, Japanese, or French, and get it here. From bulgogi and sashimi to steak frittes with wasabi caesar salad, you'll have no problem finding something for anybody’s tastes.

I opted for the seared tuna, and greens with a miso dressing to top it off, and the Pike fish with spinach pasta. Both were delectable, and were perfect in portion. ( and let me remind you, my portion, is rather larger than most ) With a couple a drinks in everyone, we all had a delightful conversation that never dulled, and honestly, it was a fun night. It's amazing how enjoyable I found the night... good food, good people, good vibe... great night. I swear I'm getting old. No wait, let me rephrase that. I know I'm getting old, when instead of loud music clubs, where lots of glow sticks and overly pretentious people inhabit; I’d rather be chilling with a drink and talking about politics and the stock market.

Ok, no stock market, and DEFINITELY no politics, but still, it sounded like the right thing to say :)

Saturday night was more geared towards going out and relieving some of that pent up stress from the long week. Paula and I spent 2 hours taking turns spinning and practicing on my turntables. It's a dream of ours one day to become an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Dj'ing tandem. Much like deep dish, hybrid, or even Sasha and digweed. And although the chances are, we'll be spinning baby diapers and baby toys versus records; you never know what can become. I mean, look at Sandra Collins, her boyfriend was a dj, and she would play on his decks when he’d goto work without him knowing, now look where she is. (yes a big drunk, but still, a good dj, nonetheless)

So this weekend Paula is headed to DC to see my parents and I. She and I will than head to Richmond to spend my friend Rikka's birthday with her, and of course to see all my close friends and hangout with everyone. Looking forward to seeing my boy Brandon, it’s always fun and crazy hanging out with him. Although we might not see each other often, when we do hangout, it’s like I never left Richmond really. And that’s a comfortable feeling, I don’t get to enjoy often these days. Returning Saturday to DC, we’ll most likely just enjoy the family, and hangout with Mo and Lu for some much needed catch up time, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen either of them.

Spring is here, and in full effect : (Check out a picture of my parents home and my little cousin with her handdrawn Barney t-shirt, done by my father)
