Tonight Amy and I hosted a lovely dinner party.
I took a chance and cooked this weird tomato, lentil, white bean, and tofu concoction which turned out to be absolutely DELICIOUS. I also made an angel food cake for dessert, complete with strawberries and extra creamy whipped topping.
During dinner I realized that Jeremy is a bottomless pit (oh wait, I already knew that), that Oprah and Okra are NOT the same thing, and that we live next door to a lesbian commune.
It was a good day.
I also sat under a tree with philosophy Max for an hour and talked about the feminism papers for the conference. I'm actually getting excited to respond to Patrick's paper... it describes the parallels between gay men and women's situations. You should all attend the conference in May- there will be some keynote speakers (Adam Arolla, who is supposed to be fantastic) and you will get a chance to learn new philosophical ideas (and maybe there will be free snacks!).
I just read a chapter about Argentina and it made me reaffirm my decision to visit Rachael there next fall. I might never come home.
