Tonight's Movie: Identity

Tonight we have a very special guest reviewer, Carmen Rossi.
Everyone give her a big hello.

John:
Wow, all I have to say is wow.
This is the most original, well thought out, brilliant film I've seen in a long time.
This suspense thriller takes place in Nevada, where 11 people are forced to a motel in the middle of the night because of a rainstorm. They all come from varying backgrounds and reasons for being in the area of the motel. Everything is alright, until they start dying, and the fingers start pointing at one another.
This movie actually made me think, a rare thing in film these days. It makes me happy to know that there are still original authors out there and studio's willing to greenlight a project that might not be accepted and recognized as a great piece of work by the majority of society.
The movie is filmed in a eclectic style that is intruiging and works well with the plot, which is dynamic and brilliant.
The acting is phenominal, John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Ray Liota, and Cleo Duvall (a wonderful actress who deserves alot more credit that she gets) lead the cast to new levels. I am usually let down by the acting styles in films these days, but these actors and actresses were obviously on their game in this film and conveyed every emotion to perfection.
When I got done the film I was reminded of the unusual style, plot, and acting of such brilliant films as "Donnie Darko", "Requiem For A Dream", "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas", and the television show "Six Feet Under".
I cannot say this enough- I loved this film (notice I've been calling it a film, not a movie, because something this brilliant deserves that name).
I give it an enormously huge THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!

Joe:
Great cast... great movie. It constantly kept me guessing as to what the hell was going on. It's a movie about a killer and his struggle with multiple (and I mean multiple) personalities. It kind of reminded me of Memento in the way that I had to piece together what was going on. It was completely awesome when I finally figured it out.... and believe me... it's not hard to figure out.... great violence.....
HUGS..... thumbs up!!!!!!!!

Carmen:
This movie was awesome...for the second time. It is a very good movie, if you have the time to watch it all and not miss ANYTHING in the movie. This movie keeps you asking the question, "what? how?" All in all i say it was a good movie, i give it major thumbs up!

Picture: we are still inbetween digital camera's, the pic will be forthcoming- sorry.
