After the longest, most arduous process you can imagine...
I finally ordered my new computer for college. Despite all the trouble (which was mostly the fact that if you try to configure the SAME COMPUTER through different sections of the Dell site, some options either are or are not available. W. TF.), it's gonna be a sweet machine (and certainly a big improvement over my current computer, which Ethan built for me when I was in 8th grade. I'm actually amazed that it still works fine, though kind of slowly).
Anyway, here are the stats:

-Pentium® D Processor 940 with Dual Core Technology (3.20GHz, 800FSB)
-2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 2DIMMs
-256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GS
-DataSafe 250GB Hard Drive
-Dual Drives: 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW w/dbl layer write capability
-Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
-Firewire port
So yeah, pretty sick. And thanks to a coupon from Dan (who also provided invaluable help when choosing options), I saved about $500. Which is awesome.
Tomorrow: Mass. to visit my half-sister and the other side of her family. Should be fun.
Friday: France! Will definitely be fun.
