RIP Fiver

Fiver died today. We don't know what he died of; he'd been sick with an infection that caused one side of his body to be weak, but he was being treated and had improved greatly. Today it's like he had a major relapse, much worse than before, and by the time we got him to the vet, he was dead. The vet thought he might have fallen and broken his neck, but couldn't find a break. We opted not to have an autopsy done. I just don't see the point; he'd still be dead. He was almost 10, which is old for a rabbit. It's been a hard day. It breaks my heart to think how Hazel will bear this loss. I'm not doing so great, either.
