To our daughter: Your lease on my uterus has officially expired as of yesterday. I have begun assessing late fees with the same compassion and moderation as that of a credit card company. I recommend swift evacuation if you would like to avoid being in debt until you have kids of your own.
Addendum: Today (and tomorrow) is the Kirkland office ski trip. This is the first company offsite I have ever missed. Did you know I own skis? Do you know why? Because I love skiing. The fact that I am currently a) not holding you and b) not skiing, but am instead at work is being factored into the above fee schedule.
P.S. The fact that you are going to get squished and contorted in yoga today is your own fault, so no apologies from me.
