[Advent Week Three] Can You Hear Me Now? - 4t2 SewerSims’ Motorola DynaTAC 8000x Cell Phone Default
Whew, that’s a mouthful.
This week I bring you a truly unique treat - a 4t2 conversion of @sewersims Motorola DynaTac cell phone, as a default replacement for the TS2 phone.
This is PERFECT for your mid-1980s sims! Well, the rich ones (or ones with rich relatives), anyway. This phone, according to Wikipedia, was priced at NEARLY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS in 1984! That’s nearly ten grand now. Holy crap.
It obviously replaces the Maxis cell phone, so you can’t have any other cell phone defaults and have mine work properly.
I worked very hard to make it the right size and make sure it doesn’t clip much - luckily the animations line up 99% of the time! It was a really hard thing to do, and took a lot of adjusting. I was up for many nights making sure it looked PERFECT.
Also, did you enjoy how hard I worked to make the sims look the part? Because I worked hard on that. I’m not trying to self-promote but I’ve been told by dozens of people on here (and elsewhere) that they’ve really appreciated my Decades sections and thought this was an appropriate time to shout that out. Get your CFC-laden hairspray and shoulder pads ready!
Thank you to Sewer Sims for the mesh, all I did was export it and spend days tweaking around with it to make it work in TS2.
