One Year
as of 23sep04 Airman Troutman has been in the USAF for one year. damn that year flew by. i remember when my dad dropped me off and waited for the shuttle to pick me up to go to meps and that was the 2nd time i ever saw my dad tear up. the first is when my grandmother passed. it seems like yesterday that i gave him that one last hug and said i will see u soon. alot has changed some good some bad. ive been to florida, texas, cali, atlanta 3 times, and now here las vegas. i've lost touch with alot of people from home but ive also met alot of new people from all over the country. my first car is trading hands today, but i got a car out here. i will admit there are days where i say i should have stayed home and went to college and play football. well if i did that then i wouldnt know anything about an F-15e or hell i would know what that was. i wish i was at home for some things but i know i cant so i make the best of it when i am at home. times change and so do people. i respect that some people have gone to college and some that havent. i wont look at anyone differently if they did or didnt. ive seen alot more and done alot more, drank alot more but if i could do all that with the old crew before things went south maybe that would have been better. but no one will ever know. i wish i was at home for certain things like now wit th new baby i wish i could have been there and shook billy otts hand, but thats on hold now. well this has been some year i will say that.
work has been cool. my jet got back a few weeks ago and ive been crewing it since. well there are days that is doesnt fly so i crew somwone elses jet. last friday some crew chiefs were drinkin, and we got bored so we went inside and got some RTV, same as the blue stuff for gaskets on a car, and started to stick the cans together to make a pyramid. in one night it was 4' tall and about 3' base. it is nice right now but everyone wants to keep on building on it. i think if we save it, it will be a nice work of art. i dont know much bout art but i think it will be cool. well ill catch yall later.
