Or at least as official as announcing it on LiveJournal and Facebook can make it. :p
I realised two things about a month ago:
-I love cooking, and I'm good at it.
-I love to teach people, and I can write well and humorously when I'm inspired.
Since that kitchen sink epiphany, I've been working to start my own blog. I thought it would be an easy thing to get off the ground, but a quick bit of research taught me...that I needed to do a lot more research.
I've got a copy of Blogging for Dummies (go ahead, laugh, but it's a big damn book and lots of help), and a mostly-willing photographer in my boyfriend. Hosting my own website seems to be cheaper than I thought it would be, and I like the potential freedom of using WordPress on my own, so my next step is picking a host--and getting a job so I can pay for it.
There are plenty of creative decisions to make in the meantime, though, and I'm probably going to start writing a backlog of blog entries (which you won't see until the blog's up, so there. :p ).
I think I've got the big one out of the way, though.
My blog is going to be called, "Cooking Bacon Naked: (mis)adventures of a rebel chef."
Thoughts?
