so yesterday we celebrated jory and ross's birthdays.
they are not on the same day, but they are really close.
ryan took us out for lunch and then we came home to get ready.
i outdid myself if i do say so. we had an irish feast!
because of my free-range limited-ness i don't get corned beef unless i corn it myself.
this i did in the refrigerator for 10 days previous to the party.
yesterday i served:
homemade corned beef and cabbage
champ (basically mashed potatoes with milk and scallions)
from scratch soda bread with raisins
salad
and an awesome mocha cake brought by simona, jory's wife. with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
there was way too much food, by which i mean it was a success. :)
