holy produce batman!
we went out to see ross's folks yesterday and came back with: tomatoes, 1 musk melon, 4 onions, a box of roma tomatoes, and a bag each of cucumbers, potatoes and green beans.
if i didn't need oatmeal and claratin, i wouldn't have to go to the store for another week.
but the good news is that the diet is working. i lost about 4-5 lbs in the past two weeks. providing i don't cave too much to the birthday cake my mom sent me yesterday in the mail, things look good.
in other recent news: katelyn and her(relatively) new boy, ash came to visit for about a week and we got to see them twice while they were here. they are both good people. wish they were both closer (and would drag
keiths with them. but instead it sounds like they are all going to washington state to start a commune.
regardless, katelyn hooked me up with a place to volunteer - and through which ross and i may eventually decide to become foster parents.
Ramsey County Crisis Nurserythey called me this week to say they were going to figure out when to do an interview with me (because i work til 4:30 these days) and that they would love to have me. i know that i will have a good experience volunteering there. my hope is that i will also start making some contacts in the non-profit sector that can get me a real job.
my temp work is great. the people are nice, it pays well, i leave it at home at the end of the day. it involves just enough of my brain to keep me interested...80% of the time. but i want a job in my field.
this afternoon we are TRYING to get jory and simona to go out on the boat with us for the afternoon. gotta enjoy that sunshine while we've got it.
