this dress by marimekko nicely symbolises what i want this summer to be like: warm, easy, relaxed, but at the same time exciting, and simply wonderful. i also think that dresses are such a simple way to look great on a hot day. just add beautiful accessories such as cute shoes, some jewellery and a nice bag and - that's it. (i need more dresses.)
the last days have been so hot, but enjoyable though. the weekend started with a ride through the fields and meadows yesterday morning which is always very relaxing and enjoyable. afterwards, maik and i went to my grandparents' garden. we got there by bike which was rather exhausting because of the heat, but in the end we arrived, could eat the cake my granny made for us and go for a quick swim in their pool. in the evening, we met up with some friends and had fun, but we didn't went home too late, because we were just tired and bushed.
today consists mostly out of relaxing, although we are going to the cinema to watch "pirates of the carribean iii" tonight. i hope it will be good and i think i may dress up a bit pirate-ish with cut-off shorts and the like.
