Anyway, the latest Shukudai has a rating of 9.0%. As much as I want to attribute it to Matsujun'smarvelousnew corner, it's probably those M-1 winner that brought in the ratings. I caught them in one of the recent wideshows; i think they actually have fangirls, all these Manzai guys. They were having this hand-shake event and some of the girls cried meeting them.
Wait, *googles*: here. Wow. I'll never underestimate Japan's affinity towards Manzai and Yoshimoto again. (Also Idols and JE and H!P). Strange kansai people, giggly "clueless"-looking girls and skinny girly boys pretty much cover all demographic and rule Japanese variety TV. /generalise
