the wonderfulness of friday
wonderfulness is no typo.
think of nessy, and get over the fact that the word doesnt exist and read on... i like the word, the non-existance of it, and the fact that i can write about it for an entire paragraph :)
oh, yeah and: friday was great.
it all started with waking up from a wonderful dream. i dreamt of christmas (yay), and in my dream i played with my baby grandcousine (double yay) and her twin.
now, beside that fact that her male twin didnt much care for me (he wasnt in a good mood, when i tried to play with him) and beside the fact that she doenst have a twin brother in reality at all, was it still a wonderful dream, for the two above stated yay-reasons.
i really am looking forward to christmas.
i mean.. yes i always do so, so thats nothing special, but since this year has not been good to me, i really see this years christmas as a special highlight - especially since the family is comming together in berlin, and i really really am looking forward to seeing my grandcousine.
so, my breakfast (i am continueing my story of friday again) was wonderful (though i dont remember what i had, probably cereal...), but it was a relaxing morning, since i had no time preassure.
at noon, i had packed all my stuff and headed to the uni - by subway.
the subway wasnt crowded so my case, my bag, and i were quite save, and enjoying ourselves.
at the uni i dropped off our lab-report. yay!
then i took the subway back to the zoo station, and was the gwI at precisely 1pm, the time i had agreed upon with thomas. he was late, as so often, but that didnt matter.
we had a wonderful round - and sooo much fun. impossible ward saves that saved my models, and impossible rolls to miss... that well... missed.
i lost. but since the game was fun, there was no point in argueing about the close victory he achieved. i guess that my try-out of an all cavalry army wasnt the best idea - but hey, i tried.
the giant fell in the thrid round, slain by helberdiers, and promised to fill the funny-role that i expected. according to the new-model-rule, the model will fail to make a good impression in its first game. and well... as i said... the chubby humans managed to climb all over him.
anyway, after my game, i watched thomas's and another gw-employee's game, which was entertaining, since i got to see how the high elves behave now, with their new rules and strengths. however the game wasnt as relaxed as the one before, since a former german-championship-winner happened to drop by and watched and made us all a bit nervous.
he is a nice guy, but its frightening to see a guy who knows the rules better than an employee - as well as seeing the game from a tournament-view.
anyway, since i spent more time in the store, than i had intended i and since i had promised my dad to stop by sometime that day, i dropped by my parents flat and had dinner with them, and we watched the gilmores.
i came home eventually, and went with a good feeling, due to a wonderful day, to bed.
the tiredness of saturday
so, since i am posting this entry at a time that is a bit behind the midnight-mark of friday, i can also summerize today.
i had to get up early - actually it wasnt early, i am just not used anymore to actually get up when my alarm clock tells me to... so i had breakfast and a shower, and headed over to my parents.
we emptied my ole' room, put on tape, and a plastic-plane over the rug and my mom and i painted away. she the walls as high as she could reach,i the top of the walls and a the ceiling.
now its all white again... o my, can the dust of some years make some corners dark.
after lunch, and relaxing a bit while watching sports night, i got the rest of my stuff down to the car and drove myself home. after having heaved up all the papers to the flat, i returned the car, and shopped for groceries on my way back again to my flat.
while we had painted, it had snowed - for like two hours.
yay!
though it didnt stick or stayed, but instead melted midly away, was i able to get some left overs of the snow off a parked car and threw (as the tradition demands) a snowball.
at home, all i did was checking my emails (hadnt done that on friday at all), had a nice and funny conversation with frenzy on the phone, wrote this entry (while downloading free music), and will now fall into my bed again with a smile... though a bit tired-ish today.
