Pansy looked at herself in the mirror and smiled at her reflection, the rays of the falling sun reflected off of her mirror. She brushed her hair wordlessly as she listened to the girls rummage around the dorm room in a rush. Pansy smothered a laugh when she heard Daphne grumble about her outfit, saying that her earrings didn’t match her shoes.

Her roommates were getting ready for their dates, which Pansy thought wasn’t much one, per say, because they were just going to go down to the Great Hall for dinner. But, the girls had deemed it a date with the boys nonetheless. They had invited her but she easily declined their invitation when they called her over, saying that she was going to study.

Pansy looked at the falling sun in the mirror and smiled to herself. It was time. She had always waited until the sun settled itself behind the Scottish hills before making her way. Standing up to get her book bag, the room fell silent for a moment and the girls quirked an eyebrow at the Slytherin Princess.

“You’re going to see him, aren’t you?”

Pansy looked at her girlfriends and nodded; noticing that Daphne had indeed changed her shoes to better match her earrings.

“You know, Pans, we’re going to find out sooner or later. So, why don’t you just tell us who it is? Obviously he’s making you happier than the other guys you’ve had,”

The girls giggled and some even smirked at her, and she winked back. Although they were all placed in the Slytherin House, they were as much as a hopeless romantic as a Hufflepuff. Pansy simply smirked at Daphne, taking no bait to her best friend’s words.

They’d always have this talk, but Pansy wasn’t ready to share. In fact, if she had any say in it, he’d be her little secret. She had been surprised that her friends hadn’t figured it out already; it’s been four months now.

"Now, you wouldn't want me to just tell you, that wouldn't be any fun. I thought you were a Slytherin,"

"Ah, touché," she smiled.

Pansy turned towards Daphne, noticing that the other girls in the dorm had turned back to what they were doing before the interruption. She held in a laugh as the other girls fussed over one another again.

“Wait just one moment there, Parkinson,”

Daphne held up Pansy’s book bag with her brow raised, questioning. She watched as Daphne looked around, making sure no one had been paying attention to the best friends.

“Do be careful, Pans,” said Daphne, smiling at her friend, “Not others are as observant as I,” she teased.

Pansy blushed, taking her book bag and thanked Daphne.

“That I do know. It just surprises me that you still haven’t figured it out,”

“Oh, I have my suspects. Don’t you worry about that,” she winked at the dark haired witch. “Now, go and get kissed because obviously I’m not going to get to tonight; watching these girls. They do jump the gun, you know,”

Both witches laughed. She waved goodbye to her friends and wished them luck on their group date.

Pansy made it out into the empty corridor; the sounds of her expensive designer heels clicked loudly against the stone floor beneath her, echoing against the walls. Arms wrapped around her waist as soon as she turned the corner. She sighed happily as she kissed the lips she’d been waiting for all day.

Pansy didn’t need to look over her shoulder to see if Daphne had followed her; she heard her best friend squee with joy.
