New Cell Phone, and other things too.
I really need to get better about updating this thing.
Well, Hopey will be proud- I bit the bullet and got a new cell phone after I'd been saying that I would get a new one pretty much since my last semester at Emmanuel. My "new toy" is prolly gonna get me into trouble since I have the net on it- and text messenging too. But I guess I'm safe since I don't know how to work it yet. I sound like such a nerd- but the way I look at it- I paid quite a bit for the phone- so I got the one I really wanted- since I'll prolly have it as long as I had my other one.( But alas, unfortunately it's not a camera phone.) I had some good times with my old phone- considering I've had it for 4 years. the only sucky part is that I had to get a new number- so if you want the new one call the house- and I'll give it to you.
A few weeks ago, I met Phillip's buddies- and the "infamous" Tomas,and boy was that was interesting:) I discovered that I can hold my own against hanging out with 5 guys- and I even "survived" Bryan accidently hitting me in the face with a volley ball. I also met Tomas's little sister Emily- and she is the cutest thing ever:) She was playing with my sunglasses- and she even let me carry her down the stairs- I was impressed by this- since Tomas and Phillip said that she doesnt open up to people that she doesn't know- but then again I'm quite popular with the 12 and under set:) Speaking of little munchkins- I'm still watching the Leak boys. Jackson hasn't driven me crazy quite yet, and the " little guys" are so much fun. It's "official" that I'm going to be an aide in the 3's starting in September. I'm starting to get nervous about what in the world I've gotten myself into- but it'll be good for me to see if teaching is something that i really want to do.
I saw Collateral- which was pretty good- but really slow in some parts- I still couldn't get over Tom Cruise having gray hair and Jamie Foxx in a serious role. Mom, Lils and I went to see The Princess Diaries 2- which was really funny- and I'll prolly get dragged to see it at least 2 more times. I really want to see The Village, Napeleon Dynamite, and to see Spiderman 2 again.
I can now say that I've eaten at Maggiano's- it's Phillip's favorite place to eat- and his family invited me to go with them to celebrate his birthday. I met his mom, his dad, his little brother J.T., and his Nana. They were all really really nice- and his Nana reminds me alittle bit of my Nannie. It was a lot of fun- and I want to go back there sometime soon- they have like a little cafe there for lunch- so hopefully it'll work out for us to go there soon.
I miss my Hopey, Tori and " My Twin" Amanda so so so so so much!!! Classes for them started this Past thursday- and I hope it works out for me to come and visit them really really soon!!! I was really missing them a few days ago- and I put on all the stuff that makes me think of them- like our "crew" shirts from Helen, the bracelet Hope made me for my birthday and my cool necklace that Tori got me from Russia. The 3 of them are the best- even though I feel alittle left out because I'm not there in the "loop" and all but it's all good.
This next week should be pretty busy- between baby-sitting the Boys every day, then The Preschool Staff meeting, baby-sitting at night ( after baby-sitting all day) going for the mid-week trip to Alpharetta, and the "top secret" plans on the weekend- it looks like getting some much-needed sleep isn't going to be an option. That sucks- because I feel like an insomniac from staying up way too late and getting up way too early.
I would love just one day to sleep in and then spend the whoel day by the pool. That was what I was gonna do today- but the plans changed somewhat:)
We still haven't moved into the lake house- but I really wish that we would already- it's weird with my room being half- packed up.
