Much has taken place since the tragedy of Live Journal on January 15th, 2005--a day that will live forever in our memories. To recap my life since the date of my last post...
Later that day on January 13th, 2005: In desperation, I went to Arzi's on Nicholson and got some take out due to my recent, uncontrollable craving for Lebanese. After enjoying my pabulum and some network television programming, I ventured over to Katie's apartment where I enjoyed some ale and a DVD of Mr. Show, a mildly entertaining sketch comedy act. After returning home, I AIM jockeyed until I maimed my precious computer. I then drifted off to sleep in quiet bewailment.
Friday, January 14th, 2005: I awoke very late in the afternoon (circa 3 pm) and began my day. I AIM jockeyed for a short while, and then I began preparing for my frolic with Gena Olson. When I arrived at Gena's apartment, she invited me up for a tour. She has by far the most charming apartments I have seen as of yet. After the tour, we made our way to Kamado's for sushi. After consuming our decadent, rather robust sushi rolls, we left for Barnes & Noble where we bumped into Isral. We then browsed around B&N until I made my final purchase of an autographed copy of Eden by Olympia Vernon and a DVD of Pi. Following our Barnes & Noble shopping trip, we retrieved Gena's Scrabble board and then went to Highland Coffees where we saw Isral again and PJ. Gena treated me to some chamomile tea and we discussed Russian linguistics and language history and theories with the aid of a pen and a napkin. After PJ left for work, Gena and I played an intense game of Scrabble in which she massacred me. I blame my loss on performance anxiety as we had an audience in Isral, though I would have rather lost with him there than win without his company. When Gena and I grew weary of Scrabble, we retreated back to her apartment and watched Pi. I then came home and AIM jockeyed for a while until Kim came home with some friends and I invited Jared over. After I took Lucie and Jared to Albertson's to purchase bacon and eggs, we watched Napoleon Dynamite and enjoyed omelettes made by Lucie. After the movie, everyone retired.
Saturday, January 15th, 2005: After another late rise (circa 4pm) I AIM jockeyed for a short time, and then I began getting ready for my evening. While watching the Tsunami Aid concert on NBC, Josh arrived for us to go to dinner. We ate at DeAngelo's where I enjoyed a nice chicken salad and engaging conversation. I requested Josh drop me off at Highland Coffees where I rendezvoused with Gena. We then walked to my apartment where we AIM jockeyed side by side on my couch until Gena declared that she was hungry. We walked to Raising Cane's and ordered chicken "fingers." After obtaining our comestibles, we walked to Blockbuster and rented Something's Gotta Give. We went back to my apartment and watched the movie while eating our chicken. After the movie, we went to Wal-Mart so that I could purchase a scale to keep track of my weight while I'm in Baton Rouge. We then stopped in Charlie's Coffee and ordered drinks and I weighed myself (135, as usual). We sipped our drinks and observed the fish exhibit which we decided was saliently analogous to our lives in Baton Rouge. I then brought Gena home and returned to my own abode where I got in bed and read some of my new book until which time I fell asleep.
Sunday, January 16th, 2005 (thus far): The day is young. I have only been conscious for approximately two hours. Who knows what exciting adventures and potential mischief this day holds...
