SaiyamanMS Character Information:
Name: Ash Ketchum
Series: Pokémon (anime)
Age: 13
Poke-profession: Pokémon Trainer
Home Town: Pallet Town
Current town: Sunyshore City
Appearance: A kid of average height, Ash is instantly distinguishable from his messy black hair covered by a red cap. He is usually seen wearing a pair of jeans along with a dark blue hoodie (however, the hood itself is never actually used) and a green pair of fingerless gloves. Basically, just watch any episode of Pokémon Advanced Generation and you can't miss him.
Personality: Ash is well known for being cheerful and upbeat. His ultimate goal since childhood has been to become the number one Pokémon Master the world has ever seen. He sometimes has a bit of a one track mind, which can often lead to disaster, however most of the time he's rather accommodating, perhaps a little too much so, which often leaves him sidetracked helping random people he meets. This can sometimes get him in incredibly sticky situations, especially when in conjunction with his complete inability to see through even the most flimsy disguises employed by the Team Rocket members who once followed him for a while.
Always eager for a Pokémon battle against tough opponents, Ash will train diligently in order to raise both himself and his Pokémon as he travels the land gaining strength and wisdom to be able to truly master the art of Pokémon battle. He likes to try and let each Pokémon he trains reach its maximum potential, even if it means letting them free to take a different path like his Primeape at the P-1 Tournament or his Charizard in the Charicific Valley. When he feels that a Pokémon has reached its full potential, he may leave it at home at Professor Oak's lab so as to allow himself to grow more alongside a new set of partners with as of yet unknown potential. The notable exception to this is his Pikachu, which has been his constant companion ever since he first left home, however it may also be argued that with all it's various achievements, Pikachu's potential is limitless and that together with Ash they shall someday, a long time from now, become the very best ever.
Abilities: Together with Pikachu, he is able to form a combination that is almost impossible to beat in battle. However, to sharpen his own skills he'll often battle with his less experienced Pokémon and take victory through his quick on the spot strategising. This sometimes falls flat however when he forgets about certain type match ups. Also, due to a lot of the intense training he has been through with various Pokémon, he himself has built up quite a resistance to various electrical and fire based attacks, however he is not completely immune to their effects. Oh, and sometimes he's proved himself capable of saving the world from legendary monster attacks, that's only a minor point though.
History: Born and raised in Pallet Town by his mother Delia Ketchum, Ash was always the adventurous type. It was with great excitement that the day he was finally able to choose his first Pokémon came, however in his excitement he stayed up too late and arrived late the next day, with all the starter Pokémon taken by other trainers leaving only a Pikachu available at Professor Oak's Lab. Ash gratefully accepted the Pikachu as he began his journey, however Pikachu certainly didn't accept him. However, after an ordeal where he was forced to confront a flock of Spearow and destroy a certain girl's bike in the process, Pikachu gained a new respect for his trainer.
Together, Ash and Pikachu set out across the Kanto region challenging the Gym Leaders for their badges. On this journey he was accompanied by Misty, the girl whose bike he destroyed, and Brock, former Gym Leader and aspiring Pokémon breeder. After about a year, he finally gathered the necessary badges for the Pokémon League challenge at Indigo Plateau, he made into the tournament's fifth round before being defeated and qualifying in the top 16. Having worked so hard only to end in failure, he went into a brief depression. However thanks to the support of his friends, he realised that it wasn't the end of his career and that if he continued to train, taking new challenges, he would be able to achieve things he previously couldn't.
At Oak's request, he went to the Orange Islands to collect the mysterious GS Ball from Professor Ivy, while there he decided to take on the local Orange League, which is a lot smaller than the League in Kanto, but was a worthy test of his skills. He barely managed to scrape through, becoming the Orange Regional Champion before returning home to deliver Oak's GS Ball.
Looking for a new challenge, Ash went to Johto, once again accompanied by Misty and Brock as he once again gathered all the regional Gym Badges. As Ash made his way through Johto, many of his older Pokémon reached their full potential through both training with him and taking their own paths. As these Pokémon left, Ash caught new ones, making new friends and discovering more about the nature of Pokémon. It was at this point that Ash had an epiphany, a Pokémon Master can't just be someone with Pokémon strong enough to beat everyone else's, you must be able to partner yourself with any Pokémon and be able to win by bringing out it's hidden potential.
Following his battles at the Johto League, where he made the top 8, he was recruited by a man named Scott to challenge his "Battle Frontier" in Hoenn. Heading there alone, the experiences he had at the Battle Frontier allowed him to learn more about Pokémon than ever before through the unique challenges at each facility as he worked towards trying to reach each of the Frontier Brains. After finally winning a battle against the seventh Brain, Pyramid King Brandon, Ash felt that his current team had finally reached its full potential and thus decided to begin a new journey to the Sinnoh region with none of his Pokémon other than Pikachu.
Oh, and right, he's seen a crapton of legendaries and even saved the world once or twice, not that anyone cares about something as minor and unimportant as that compared to the awesomeness of getting Gym Badges and meeting random people.
Pokemon information:
Name: Pikachu
Breed: Pikachu
Gender: Male
Personality: Pikachu's a pretty cool dude, in most cases he's a highly considerate Pokémon willing to help others and is often the first to intervene when arguments break out. Despite his attitude when he first met Ash, he's rather outgoing and loves to make new friends. A particularly strange quirk about his personality however is that he has no romantic interest in other Pokémon, instead having an attraction towards human girls. However, Ash is completely oblivious to this.
History: Not much is known about Pikachu's past other than that he somehow came to be in the possession of Professor Samuel Oak before being given to Ash. As mentioned earlier, the two got off to a rocky start, but managed to become good friends after frying a few Spearow and a girl's bike. However this encounter left Pikachu greatly injured, during his recovery at the Viridian Pokémon Center there was an incident involving Team Rocket agents Jessie, James and Meowth. After being single-handedly defeated by Pikachu they saw him as an ideal target to steal for their boss. However, together with Ash they were always defeated and have not been sighted since the journey to the Battle Frontier.
Pokemon Breed: Wingull
Pokemon Gender: Male
Pokemon Personality: Like most of Ash's flying Pokémon, Wingull is generally kinda dull. A rather agreeable chap who'll mostly just go along with what he's told. Rather talented with aerobatics and precision shooting, it takes talent to keep up with his movements in battle. Ash originally caught him on the way from Sunyshore City to Veilstone City.
Where Caught: Route 222
Pokemon Breed: Houndour
Pokemon Gender: Female
Pokemon Personality: Houndour is... well, bitchy. No pun intended. She is incredibly grouchy and vicious, to the point where Ash has to make sure to keep her in her ball in crowded areas. However, despite her bad temperament, she loves to participate in Pokémon battles and respects Ash just enough to listen to him, however he sometimes has to tell her to lay off when she goes too hard. Ash originally caught her on the way from Sunyshore City to Veilstone City.

Third Person: Following a successful challenge at the Battle Frontier, Ash Ketchum had left his previous Pokémon back at home with Professor Oak as he now rode the boat towards Sunyshore City. Well, all his previous Pokémon with the exception of Pikachu, who was currently riding upon Ash's shoulder.
"Isn't it weird Pikachu?" he asked, prompting a strange response from his partner. "Pika?" Ash gave a little chuckle, "Y'know, just the two of us by ourselves. It's like when we first met. A new land to explore, new people and Pokémon to meet, whether they turn out to be friend or foe. Aren't you excited?" Pikachu had a blank stare for a moment as he thought about this. "Pikachu!" he replied with a grin.
"The moment we get there, we're heading straight into adventure! We gotta aim for-" the horn of the boat wailed as Ash called out, pointing at the landmass ahead. "Pipikachu!" Pikachu replied, also getting pumped up. "..." the atmosphere suddenly deflated as Ash's face dropped. "Although first, we're gonna have to get something to eat... I'm so hungry..." he complained as he slumped against the boat's railing. "Pikaaa..." Pikachu sweatdropped.
First Person/Forum Post: Hey there! I'm Ash from Pallet, I've only just arrived here in Sinnoh after challenging the Hoenn Battle Frontier. Although I figured that in order to give myself a real challenge, that I should leave all my old Pokémon other than Pikachu back home at Professor Oak's. So here we are, just the two of us in Sunyshore. I hear the local Gym Leader trains electric types? I'm not quite sure if I could manage a win there with just Pikachu. Although I suppose he'd be at the same disadvantage, and I did manage to win that battle with Lt. Surge... Still, I think it might be a good idea to catch some new Pokémon before heading straight to the gyms. By the way, anyone in the area up for a battle? I warn you though, I'm tough!
