Here's Chapter one of my story...and glad u liked it JEN JEN!

Chapter One

“Hey Daddy glad to see your home early…” I lied as I threw my book bag in the floor while shutting the front door. “Hey sweetie…your friends are in your room…and get that book bag into your room please! Don’t forget you chores either…” he went on. “Okay…okay…” I mumbled as I made my way into my room. Now my room was a reflection of me, and I was very proud of it. It was a mess to some, but to me it was just an artistic clutter, and I liked it just fine. Amidst the clutter, were posters of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and other geeky movies, and then pictures of Greenday and other rock bands who always seemed to be singing to the troubled teen, which happened always to be me. I had artwork, pictures, and about everything I could find up on my wall, and starting up onto my ceiling. Then I had my bookshelves, which had a lot of books crammed in there, except for my Harry Potter books, and those I took good care of. I had a desk with papers and pens scattered everywhere, I had a stereo, a television and my XBOX on my entertainment center, with my many DVDs spread around. I had swords and weapons on display and figurines; well let’s just say I had a lot of stuff. But of all the places in the world, my room was a haven to me, and I always felt safe…and away from the world in there, I loved my room.

I walked in my room to see all four of my best friends lounging around my room. “Chris, I brought you another Orlando Bloom poster…I have this one already, it’s Will Turner and Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean…AHHH It’s the scene when Will is dueling Jack in the blacksmith shop!” Trinity squealed. It was rather pathetic to most, but Trinity and I were boy crazy…we found at least one hot guy in every movie and began to collect anything and everything about them. My friends and I knew about every movie from the inside out, mostly the sci-fi and fantasy movies, but we watched them all. We watched a movie over and over, even re-in-acted many of the scenes in my room. To me, it was moments I wouldn’t trade for the world. Trin was so much like me is wasn’t funny. We were into the exact same things, and were like twins in many ways, except in looks. She is tall and thin, but she has long and wavy dark brown hair with eyes ice burg blue eyes. She was so gorgeous and it always made me jealous. She loved to skateboard and wasn’t afraid to wear the brands.

I smiled as she handed me the picture. I quickly got some tape and put it next to my bed. Will Turner, also known as Orlando Bloom, was the one guy in Hollywood who I thought was different than the rest, and I seemed to fit the different category, so it was a match made in heaven. “Oh lord, there they go again with those actors…Gavin, we really need more guy friends…” Landon sighed. Landon loved to skateboard too, I think mainly because Trin did. He did try to teach me to skate, him and Trin both, but I was no skater, I had the scar to prove it. He was tall, tanned skin, long brown hair with brown eyes. He was a heartthrob for a lot of the girls at school, but he’s always had a thing for Trin, and Trin, had never noticed…just how Landon wanted it for now. “Why don’t you forget that actor and get with a real man!” Gavin said trying to look sexy. Gavin, I could never figure out. He was your average prep. He had blonde hair, perfect skin, green eyes and Hollister on every shirt. He was very handsome, but arrogant as well. He’s dated every girl except me. It didn’t bother me none, or so everyone thinks. But I really do like him, yet as much as he acts like he likes me, it doesn’t seem possible. We are totally different, and he jokes around so much, I didn’t want to end up accepting feelings that were based on a joke. “He is a real man…I can’t say the same for you though Gavin.” I said with my hands on my hips. “Lord you guys are so immature.” Elizabeth sighed.

Elizabeth was our mother, very uptight, proper and not afraid to put us into a corner to cool off. She was your everyday bookworm. She’s short and thin, with pale skin. Her hair was red and her eyes were green. She was very pretty, but her lack in confidence held her back in many things. “Well guys it’s Friday…what movie should we watch?” I said with joy. Friday nights we all get together for movie mania, stayed up watching movies and just goofing around while stuffing out faces with pizza. “Oh I can’t tonight…I have to study and I better head on to the Divine Library before it closes.” The Divine Library, the one place I never wanted to go. Of all the things they could have put at the end of Crescent Street, they put that library. It was very big and it looked so overgrown and run down, it looked haunted. And right before you go to the entrance there is a statue of some old guy looking down at you. It was just plain creepy. “Yeah, I’m gonna go with you Liz, I need to study for my test in Geometry…I’m failing with the lucky number 23. So I need to pass at least one test.” Trin said with a smile. “Man you guys…I was really looking forward to movie night tonight.” I whined. “I’ll stay Chris, no problem.” Landon said. “Yeah, I will too, I definitely ain’t joining the brave ones and going into that place.” Gavin said. “Oh brother…it’s just a library. Well we should go Liz…and if we don’t come back…remember how much I loved you guys…” Trin joked as they left the room. “I LOVE YOU TOO!” Gavin shouted only to be hit with a pillow by Landon. “CHORES CHRISTINA!” my Dad yelled. “IN A MINUTE!” I roared back. “Well guys, put in a video game for a couple minutes, duty calls. Oh and my diary isn’t here so don’t bother looking.” I smiled.

I raced around the house and completed my never-ending chores. From sweeping the kitchen and the porch to cleaning the litter box, which is always fun, I did have a lot of chores. I took every short cut I could get away with and I then walked in my room to find Gavin and Landon lying on my bed watching cartoons. I smiled, no matter how old we all got, cartoons were always on our television. “Well I’m done with my chores…how about we go outside?” I asked. “Yeah, want me to try teaching you to skateboard again?” Landon asked while stretching. “NO! I broke my arm in three places! I’m not doing that again!” I snapped. “Hey I got an even better idea…since mother Liz isn’t here…let’s go to Brittany’s party! Then when we get done there, we come back and watch a movie…” Gavin suggested. I hated going to parties…I hated the looks the people give us when we try to act like every other teen…and I hated the fact that Gavin suggested going. “Hey yeah, Brittany Green right? Yeah…I’m game…” Landon smiled. “I don’t know guys…” I started. “Oh come on Chris…you know I wouldn’t let anything happen to you…” Gavin said. Which was true, along with being arrogant and completely immature…he was always looking out for me. Well I didn’t want to be a party pooper, “Yeah okay, I’ll go.” I gave in. “Well, I’ll see you guys there I guess…bye.” Landon smiled as he left. I plopped down on the bed and sighed. I was not looking forward to this. “Are you sure your okay with this?” Gavin asked while sitting next to me. “No…I hate going to parties, you know that…I’ll go…but I won’t like it.” I said. “Well if you really don’t want to, we don’t have to you know that right?” “Yeah, it’s cool though…will you at least walk with me over there…you know I don’t like to walk in the dark alone…” I sighed. “Yeah of course, I’ll be back around eight okay? You dress sexy okay!” he laughed. I was wondering when his usual self would come back. “Whatever…okay, meet me back here okay?” I smiled. He then stood and walked away.

I then forced my way into the shower. After a long hot shower and hour of fixing my hair and makeup I dragged to my closet that was always a mess. I searched through the wads of clothes and found an outfit that was sure to turn some heads. I pulled on a dark blue jean skirt that was a little shorter than what I wear paired with my never worn sandals that had a small heel. My feet felt so bare; I’d been wearing my chuck Taylor’s for so long, and was starting to want to put them back on. I then pulled a moss green collared shirt with a pink guitar on the side. I then went and primped in the mirror for about an hour until I heard a small tap on my window. It was Gavin; he always threw pebbles at my window. It made me feel like a princess when he did that, but I never tell him that. I raced out of my room and gave my Dad a big hug and kiss, “Going to Brittany’s house with Gavin and Landon…there’s a small party with supervision and no alcohol…I will be back later okay.” I lied once again. “No your not…no parties…remember what happened last time you went to a party…you cried for a week!” He was right, when I went to a party with Landon…we were kicked out. They called us aliens and they didn’t want us to curse the party. I wanted nothing more than to stay home, but I knew Gavin wanted to go. “It’s okay Dad, this time will be different…” I tried. “Fine…but you be back by eleven you understand…and don’t stay if the kids are being stupid okay?” I nodded and ran outside. To most, my dad would seem like an over protective parent that wanted to make their child miserable, but my dad truly cared about me…and he is just trying to save me some grief that the world likes to dish out to me.

The sun had gone down and the clouds shielded the moon’s rays to brighten the night. I hated the dark, but then seeing Gavin there waiting for me pushed the fears aside. “Hey sexy!” I laughed. “Look at you! In heels and everything! Looking good!” He smiled. I wouldn’t tell him…but he was looking good too. With some relaxed fit ripped blue jeans…that was the big style now, and he had a tight t-shirt with Hollister boldly decorating the front. He then had his hair fixed to perfection. “Well let’s go, Landon is already there…” He said.

We then started to walk down the long sidewalk towards Brittany’s house. Brittany Green was one of the most popular girls around. She was rich and had every guy falling for her. She was very pretty…very out going and used to having whatever she wants, which lately has been Gavin. And Gavin being a guy, he hasn’t noticed she likes him. Love is so much more complicated when you’re a teen, ask anyone. The little crushes spring up from nowhere and you tell your friend about your crush and that starts the well-known gossip. Soon, if you haven’t told your crush, the gossip will have already reached him. There is a slight chance that things would work out, but usually it’s just a small fling that could be broken by some one else or by you. Love is unheard-of when you’re a teenager, but I believe love can happen no matter how old you are. I don’t believe Brittany loved Gavin; she probably wants another little arm trophy to show off with. I was just hoping Gavin would figure that out.

The streetlights finally flickered on, lighting Crescent Street with a dull glow. “You really do look nice, I’m surprised you didn’t have your converses on…that’s a big step you know.” I smiled as I looked down at my feet; I was already regretting the shoe choice. “Yeah, thanks…” “Hey, if your worried about the party don’t…if anyone says anything to you, come tell me...you know I’ll say something back. And I don’t have to give you the drinking talk…” He was right, none of us five ever drank before. We never tried it or even came close to it. “Thanks for looking out for me Gavin…it means a lot.” I said. “No problem Chris…well, that must be the place…” Must be is right, there was a house across the road practically dancing from the loud music thumping through the windows.

Trash, mostly beer bottles were scattered across the yard and going into the road. “That’s it…oh look…only two people passed out in the yard…usually there is more…” Gavin tried to smile. We walked across the street and soon into opened door and made our way into the trashed house. All collectables that belonged to the absent parents were shattered or stained, the walls had beer stains, and of course many people were either dancing like crazy or out like lights placed here and there. “Hey let me go and say hey to Brittany okay? Will you be okay?” Gavin asked. “Yeah, sure.” I sighed. I then watched Gavin walk away into the crowd.

I pushed my way over Landon who was watching the X games on the big screen television, as if he didn’t know he was at a party. I took a seat next to him. “Hey Landon…” I said. His eyes were glued to the Television. “Yeah…hey…” I sat there wondering what Gavin and Brittany were talking about, being the paranoid one…my first thought was them talking about me. I was nearly shaking with anticipation, I just hoped Gavin wouldn’t come up to me with a smile and saying he had a new girlfriend. It seemed like a lifetime before Landon finally broke the silence. “You look nice.” I looked over at him, and then to the television, it was a commercial obviously. “Thank you Landon…” Moments of silence went by as I tried to sit and watch the television until I heard a crash in the kitchen nearby.

“Somebody is hurt in here!” screamed a voice. It’s probably just some one passing out from drinking. “It’s GAVIN!” I heard Brittany scream.
