Okay, so this prompt has grabbed ahold of me hard and won't let me go. But I've already started work on my holmes_big_bang fic, and I really shouldn't write another long fic right now.
Seeing as I was one of the anon's seconding this, I feel I need to start nudging this in your direction. Like a meatball. Sorry, for some reason I'm thinking of Lady & The Tramp.
But yeah, this idea does seem absolutely gorgeous and it could be such a wonderful fic to read.
lol - That's exactly what I needed to hear. (Or not, depending on your point of view.)
I was another of the anon's, but came back to it after ideas wouldn't leave me alone.
I've already requested the Time Traveler's Wife book and film from the library for inspiration, as it's been a while since I read/watched either. So it looks like I'm going *something* with this prompt.
I take full responsibility and look forward to reading it. :) If I had any beta skills or whatever, I'd have offered my services. But I'll stand here cheerleading!
Oh my god, I'm so, so excited. I really do want to do art for this piece. So let me know whether there's a scene you're interested in having me illustrate. I can't promise a full-fledged painting (some of my artwork is available here: http://foxestacado.deviantart.com), but I'll be interested in illustrating something!
OMG I don't know why I didn't see your comment earlier. I get notifications from lj when people comment, so not sure what gives. Anywho...
Your art is amazing! I cannot stop looking at your portrait of Sherlock Holmes. Luna and the Squid is fantastic. OMG!
I would *love* for you to do the art for my fic, no promises of full-fledged paintings required. (I cannot even imagine how long a piece like Luna and the Squid takes from conception to completion.) Anything you'd like to contribute, even a small illustration, would be amazing I'm sure.
I had a major breakthrough about my fic a few nights ago and now have a couple thousand words out, so now I'm feeling a little more secure better about it. I'm not sure which scenes would be good for illustration, as I deal entirely in words and cannot even draw a stick figure. If this works for you, I'd be happy to send you a draft some time in the future, and you can illustrate whatever section jumps out at you.
