..well, at the moment i'm watching on YT "Enterprise". So far i'e arrived at the 5th episode. The intro was verrrrrrrry funny. Cpt Archer in the shower and the gravity kinda vanishes..;) Poor guy.
My opinion to this show so far is a good one. The characters are all okay, i for myself like Archer (of course, hey, it's Scott Bakula and i hope he will sing a bit in one of the episodes..hehe) and Hoshi. Oh, and Phlox has a great sense of humor. I wonder if it will ever be revealed what kind of species he is. But then until now i was not much into the fandom, because i made the biiig mistake in spiolering me with the pilot episode, which i regret enormously. So i stayed away from the series. But now that the whole Quantum Leap/Scott Bakula-fandom has me in it's grip, i had to dive into it.
About the theme song. I never was against it. It's just different to the other series who had an instrumental intro. But they made Enterprise a bit different than the other series. So why not a different intro? With a song? Although Enterprise has not quite the unusual approach as Stargate Universe has, but they tried to make it different and i don't think that was a bad idea. Unfortunately it only lasted 5 seasons, and i kinda doubt it that SGU will last that long...when i read all the whining of the fans at the beginning of the series.
Sometimes one just has to be open for new things, even if they are very different from the things we know and like/love. But it doesn't mean it is bad. It's just different. But as we humans tend to fear the different things, i don't think it will change a lot. I'm just glad that not all of us are afraid.
I for myself am also afraid if some things i like and love and am comfortable with, are changed. But i'll give it a try and sometimes the outcome is surprisingly well.
And before i'll get tooo philosophical and write more crap (gg), i'll finish up and watch on. Let's see what the crew of the Enterprise will face in episode 5...
