Haven't updated in a while, I know. (That's a weird construction.) I think most people see or hear from me often enough to know what's up.

Ok, so here's what happened over the weekend.

Linda came to visit. Saturday we went apple picking out in Warren County and then went hiking near the Paulinskill Viaduct. If you're interested in history, railroads, crazy architecture, or satanic teenager graffiti and beer cans, you should check it out. It's really easy to get up top.

Sunday, Sherrill and I just cleaned during the day. Sunday night though, we went to see Mike Watt, the hardest working man in rock and roll (he's done over 50 tours since 1981 or so), in Hoboken. This show was so amazing. Mike Watt's touring with the Secondmen, just performing his new album - a kind of punk rock-Minutemen style meets Sun Ra kind of thing. It's an opera about some life-threatening medical stuff he went through in 2000. Wow. It's definitely not everyone's taste, but Watt has never been conventional. For the encore, they played a bunch of Minutemen and fIREHOSE songs. Great great great.

Also, I think I'm going to have an interview next week for a job as a business agent at (UNITE)HERE Local 6 in NYC. I think it should go well, I def. hope it does...
