Party!
Today is the first day we're having people over at the house! I've cleaned and organized as much as I can to make us look as moved in as possible (we're not totally unpacked yet, but it's been a busy summer, so I'm gonna cut us some slack). I'm a little stressed at the moment, because it's like, twenty minutes after the party has officially started, and no one is here, not even the birthday girl. I'm sure everyone's just running late, and I know Salicia will be here soon. I'm excited to have folks over and show off the place now that it's starting to look like a home. :-)
We've been working so hard. I really loved our trip to Lowes yesterday where we spontaneously bought patio furniture, and our yard work today raking and sweeping. Feels good to work on the place with Casey and be excited about it! The bedroom is really peaceful and pretty and we don't even have much up on the walls yet. The curtains my mom sent were perfect and I'm so pleased.
Edit later: people did come! It was a chill night but a nice one :-)
