It's Wednesday already? This week is flying by. French is going well though, so that's good. Tonight I'm going to bake cookies to send in a father's day care package for my dad. I hope they turn out yummy! What are y'all getting your fathers for Fathers Day? I am at a loss for what to send him besides cookies. Suggestions appreciated.

I'm looking forward to it being Thursday tomorrow because that means more dancing! We went last week, to get in the groove before Kris and Aubrey's wedding, and it was like, the best session of dancing we'd had since our wedding. Maybe it was my new shoes, maybe we were just in good moods, maybe (probably) it was the awesome DJ, but we just had so much fun together. It's a good date night. We had fun dancing at the wedding too. As a good(ish) dancer, we've learned that at weddings, you gotta pick your moments when either the bride and groom are NOT dancing, or they are but EVERYONE is dancing too, so that either way you aren't stealing focus from the happy couple. No worries about that with Kris and Aubrey though - they're fun dancers with rather amusing moves, and you can't help but watch them together when they're on the floor. :-)

I leave for Mexico in 1 week. Woah. I should probably start planning that vacation - make parasailing reservations, figure out how to get to Chichen Itza, ask Margie what that place was down the beach from us, etc. It's gonna be great! I had planned to diet a little bit and use some fake tanning lotion, so my bod wouldn't look so white and soft on the beach, but, then I didn't. Heh, white and soft - I'll match the sand!!!

Today I wore a shirt that I bought because its pattern made me laugh. It cracked me and Sammie and Danielle up because it is SO unbelievably reminiscent in its pattern and color scheme of the Berkley Family Room! That is, it totally matches the decor/wallpaper of the family room in the house where I grew up as a child. Crack me up. I'm sorry none of you knew me as a child in Lake Zurich, and can't appreciate how well it matches the way my mom decorated the native american family room. It is kind of the only reason I bought this (plus it was way cheap).

Turquoise Bracelet: Gift from Grammie, passed down from Aunt Titi
Rose Quartz & Silver Bracelet: Gift from my cousin Jackie

Wanna hear a secret about this top? It's actually supposed to be a dress. Yikes it's short!!!

I think it works much better as a tunic type top. The look might be a bit funny with these shorts. It'll be better in the fall with skinny jeans, but I just couldn't wait til then to wear it. Maybe I'll wear it as a dress in the privacy of my own home when the temperature is back in the 90s again. Also, I love the open back. Originally it had like, criss-crossed ribbons back there, but they were busy and served no purpose, so I cut them off.

Jewelry & Crazy Pattern Closeup!

The rose quartz and turquoise bracelets might be a little matchy matchy with the colors in the shirt, but I don't care. I like matchy matchy.
