I just realized that today is the last time I'll be in 6M. It won't be here when I get back to the city! I am really getting excited about our new place, which is healthy because my only other option is to dread it, or be scared of it, neither of which are helpful attitudes. I've just decided to NOT worry about the abandoned school down the street. This wouldn't work out so well if we weren't supposed to live there. And SLU wouldn't have its nice conference retreat, the Manresa Center, on Washington if it weren't safe over there. And the building is flanked by two churches (neither of which I can discern the denomination!). It'll be fine, and I really think we'll be happy there. Though, now that I've actually USED the workout room, I see how it'll be sad for Casey not to have that downstairs anymore. I told him we can start making a tradition of working out together in SLU's workout center when he picks me up from class in the afternoon next semester.
Last day here. I feel maybe that means we should eat at Kampai, since that's what we did on my FIRST day here.
HA, we were going to hire movers to help Casey's parents out, so they don't have to move all this furniture up three flights of stairs into the new apartment. Casey priced a lot of different movers, and when he called his family to talk to them about it, his Dad said not to do that, that he was up to it, unless Casey was "too sissified" to deal with all the furniture. That made us laugh, and not feel so guilty about having lots of big heavy crap.
I hope we don't have any more pasta sauce issues in the new apartment building! Too many Classico Catastrophes here!
Also, I LOVE BUFFY. I forgot how much i LOVE that show. Casey and I are working our way through 2nd season, and I can't wait to get home and watch more of it with him. Hey, remember that time Cara and I met Tony Head? He's fantastic.
