Takin a study break.
Well, continuing my break. I just took a 1/2 hour Mario Break. I got a star. Go me. But to be fair, I did crank pretty hard on my research for like 4 hours. I'm feeling better about this MWP thang. Yesterday I despaired, thinking that there is NO way I am going to finish inputting all the info, organize it, write the paper, and prepare a speech all by mid April while I am doing two papers for this class... *cries. But, I think it will somehow happen.
This has been a low-key weekend. I blew off stupid-board and just sent my first round of voting in via email. Then my weekend was FREE!
Friday Casey and I went out to dinner with Dan and Danielle at the Lincoln cafe. (Gosh, I need to spend more time in MV with Casey because I love my friends. This weekend he had a LOT of stuff he needed to do here though.) We boozed (I had several glasses of a delicious red wine, so I was rather cheery), ate delicious burgers, and WAY too many appetizers. It's fun hanging out with Dan and Danielle because they're such a cute couple, and, as Casey pointed out, I'm more like Dan and he's more like Danielle (as far as in a relationship) so it's an interesting group dynamic.
After dinner Casey dropped me off at the U of I library to do some research while he saw The Piano Lesson for class. Got a topic sorted out, found a few resources to get me started, and I think it'll be an excellent paper. I'll talk more about my topic when I get more into it though and have my thesis set up. Should be hot. Also got a book report book.
And then, I couldn't locate my borrower's permit, so I had to leave the books on hold. Bryce came to pick me up from the library because it closed at 10 (wha? so early!) and Casey was still in the play. I was momentarily afraid I'd be stranded, but Bryce to the rescue. Went over to his place, I drank MORE wine with him and Randy, and basically we LAUGHED the night away talking, the three of us. Good time. Casey eventually joined us. We were gonna go out and play pool, but that ended up being a bust, so we just chilled at their apartment. Casey, despite being terribly out of practice, actually beat Bryce rolling (Brazilian jujitsu) because Bryce had a few too many drinks in him to be as quick as usual. Even still, Casey was a touch pleased with himself, because he hasn't been to BJJ in a long time, and Bryce usually wins because he's more skilled at BJJ and has good conditioning.
So Friday was fun.
But now Casey's home from Jimmy John's, so it's time for us to hang out! Soup and TV!
