It was a recipe for a nice night with friends, definitely, Especially when the wine is AWFUL and from a jug with a cap/cork Maggie R. bought for $4 called "Inglenook." HAHA Inglenook. Gross. Good time tonight with Dan, Maggie R, Bryce, and Julia, as we stayed iced into clock tower hall.
That's right my friends, Ice Storm 2007: Part Deux. It's ridiculous how coated in ice everything is, and how many tree limbs were cracking and falling all around us as we walked to the commons and back for meals. I couldn't believe it. You'd hear it creaking, and then just see a huge limb come crashing to the ground. It was kind of dangerous, but the ice was so beautiful that Cornellians (like me and Julia) were more preoccupied with taking photos than we were with safety:
Look how much tree destruction there was!
Each needle was encased in ice, which was both beautiful and amazing to Maggie and Julia.
Isn't these trees just ridiculously beautiful?
I love this photo...
Julia freezing her buns off on the icicle bench
But it truly was a winter wonderland. Such a beautiful sight overall.
Allee Chapel was a nice sight through the iced trees.

http://picasaweb.google.com/AmyMoenning/4thBlock You know what else made today special? MY UCLA APPLICATION IS ON IT'S WAY! I had to deal with the mail center a little bit, but it's all off! And Katy sent me an email today saying that she too had sent my letter, and that it was "glowing through the envelope" which warmed my heart on this freezing day. I really hope Lisa and Miller get their letters in the mail on time! *Eeek!
