So, it's Tuesday.
I think Casey might be coming to visit today, which would be fabulous, as we've been talking about possibly watching Wayne's World soon. Party Time, Excellent, is all I have to say about that. I feel a little guilty that he's driving all the way out just to hang out with me for a few hours and then drive back, so perhaps I'll give him a bit of gas money (as I do occasionally) to ease that guilt. Oh which reminds me, I must get a few dollars to Julia as well.
Had a good chat last night down in Bryan's room. Went down to get a "debriefing" about what happened with Lindsey and how he feels about everything (even though I know nothing about breakups) but it ended up being a lot more fun as many friends wandered in and out and we mostly just hung out and talked about Pirates and v-slapping. Oh hilarity.
Got my paper back from Rhawn today, and I was really pleased. I thought he was going to tell me it wasn't scientific enough and it was too historical. But, he actually really enjoyed that perspective, and recommended a book to me, one I already hunted down actually and am excited about reading - Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed by Jared Diamond. I think the Maya article mentioned it actually. Can't believe class is winding down so quickly. I hope tomorrow we talk a LOT about what is going on NOW, because I think that's really interesting too. I love hearing about how Bush is sending us spiraling into the apocalypse. jk.
So I'm in the library, and I used the bathroom on the 1st floor where all the toilets are low because children use them, and I got this hugely weird memory of Charles Quentin Elementary school of the bathrooms in the basement. The one stall on the right you never wanted to go into because some kids always wiped boogers on the walls in that one. Kids are gross. I think that was in 4th grade? Was that when our classrooms were in the basement? Probably. Well, 2nd in Lindquist I was on the main floor, 3rd in Hanson I was on the main floor, and yeah fourth with O'Hara was downstairs...
Choir time.
