I'm in COlorado! WOO!! I've really been looking to coming home to hang out with Sammie, pet my doggies, and drink with my parents. Hahaha. (Seriously though - Sammie said they drink a bottle of wine and have popcorn every night when watching TV to which my mom replied, "Nu-uh! We've cut down on the popcorn." HAHAHAHA) It's fun, because I get in the car with Mom and Sam at the airport and just started speed talking about life at college, Casey, Julia, Bryce, Clock Tower, etc. It was good. I get off on such tangents talking in the car on the way home from the airport.
I got home to 2 boxes of girl scout cookies (Samoas and Thin Mints, what else?!) my hilarious doggies, some awesome soup, showing my mom pictures, and now i'm chillin with my sister whose friend Haley gets 10,000 cool points for her music taste. (that reminds me of 10,000 cool people, which reminds of the bad play Casey, Bryce, and I saw, and it also reminds me of "I think it'd be funny if they all had the SAME HAIRSTYLE! What?! No, that's all I want! Same Hairstyle!")
My 4 days with Casey were GREAT. well, Friday I spent mostly with Bryce cause Casey had classes until 5:20 and then rehearsal from 6:30 to 10. eek! But Bryce and I did lunch, and chatted, and picked up "the Boland" for dinner at Wendy's, and then at 8:30 Bryce and I laughed our butts off to four back to back That 70's Show episodes and had more good chattage until Casey came over and we all went out to Perkin's. I thought it was going to be a boring day without Casey but I really didn't have to entertain myself very much what with the Bryce time and sleeping in. It's cool because Casey and Bryce hang, and me and Casey hang, and Bryce and Julia hang, and me and Julia hang, but me and Bryce never hang. Completing the circle.
But yeah I got a lot of good Casey quality time too. We took a LONG walk the other night and we always have good talks on walks. I LOVE being by the pentacrest. we always have good moments together there. We also consumed a TON of calories this weekend, which was necessary. Casey doesn't eat enough. I woke up to make him eggs one morning because he was just gonna go all day without eating until dinner otherwise. He has no time in the morning... But that's ridiculous.
Casey had amazingly good luck today. At the library he found out that he'd read something wrong, and instead of getting no scholarship money from U of I, he's getting over 5,000 dollars next year! He was SOOOOOOOOOO happy because he's been so stressed about his student loans recently. I'm so glad for him. He got more than Riley, haha. Anyway, as we were leaving the library, our meter had run out and there was a guy RIGHT about to write us a ticket, and Casey was like "ah! we're here! we're leaving!" and the guy was like, *shrug* "okay" and moved on to the next car! JUST in the nick of time. Yess.
I miss Casey already, cause it's his birthday on Tuesday, and I won't be there for it, and I pry won't see him next weekend - he'll have rehearsal when I get in on sunday and won't be able to pick me up from the airport. Boo rehearsals. I'm wearing his hoodie cause he gave it to me to keep warm on the plane and it's giganticly cozy. I'm sad that the year is winding down so quickly, and that Greece will make the summer extra long. I am not looking forward to not seeing him (other than a quick weekend when we get back from greece, another in july and maybe another in august) for 1/3 of the year. Stupid Summer! This might be the last summer we're apart though... So we'll see.
I'm trying to burn my sister another mix, and my itunes is being a brat. Maybe it's because this blank CD is crappy.
I'm gonna make delicious chili for my family and I'm gonna be brave and call Casey's mom and ask her for advice/a recipe because her chili is outstanding. Casey and I had some today before he took me to the airport. We got a little turned around trying to get to the airport (Us? confused and a little turned around trying to get somewhere?! NEVER! haha we're each directionally challanged, and as a couple we're worse)so I was a little stressed, but some A&W creamy root beer cheered the situation. I didn't need to be stressed either, because I ended up being delayed cause my plane was coming from Chicago, that deathtrap of an airport.
ok, shower in my good shower, and time for sleepy-bye.
