hey~ i'm supposed to write a goowey something about my shitty imagination (yeahh that's the word i'll use for "that" xp hahaha) anyway. i'm here to write the draft for the crazy 13-13 fun facts that i'll submit for the paper in behalf of my editorial staff.. lucky them.. lols but i'm seriously pissed with them..
here we go~~
This year, we celebrate the 13th foundation day of our school. Many folks considers number 13 as unlucky and is associated to occult and superstition. This irrational fear is called triskaidekaphobia. In Greek tris means 3; kai means 'and'; dai means 10; and phobos means fear. Most would associate the concept from the Christian's The Last Supper, wherein the apostle Judas, the 13th person in table, betrayed Jesus Christ. In Italy however, number 13 is considered otherwise (except on dining tables *wink*) and gives the blame to number 17th. Here are some fun facts related to 13:

1. You have probably noticed that most building and establishments do not have floor number 13 (or even at times including 14th floor). Why? Although the origin of such norm is still unknown, superstition and triskaidekaphobia are the alleged reason for such. According to Dilip Rangnekar, a spokesperson of an elevator brand, 85% of high rise buildings in the world don't have 13th floor. Instead, 12A, 12B, 14A and 14B are used to replace it. Some airline companies also follow the norm by omitting 13th row on their planes. In some areas in China, 4, 14, 24, etc are omitted because 4 in Mandarin is similar to the sound of the word 'death'.

2. You got failing marks on almost all your subjects? You tripped and landed face-on your delicious adobo during lunchbreak? You were sipping cola and because of your crazy friend's joke, you accidentally squirted cola on your nose with too much laughter. It gets even better when you saw 'crush' giggling on your hidden-talent-show. Few more steps and your home, out of nowhere like a witch arrived at your street, the rain poured. You get in to your house drenched. If it's not bad karma, it's just probably Friday the 13th. The fear of number 13 is called paraskevidekatriaphobia.
