Last night, while coming back to school, I saw a sign that said Slow down. Save gas.

These signs usually say Slow down. Save lives.

... have our priorities really changed that much?

yeah... like... if you're only going 20, instead of 40 or 50 as you may be inclined to go, you could probably stop in time should someone show up in the road.

Most people walk at about 3 MPH. You would be even more safe than if you were on foot!
