Gimme Shelter
Just a quickie this, on the offchance that anyone out in Livejournal land can help...
Amanda will be arriving in the UK on 2nd April. As of yet, we don't have anywhere set up to live. This, obviously, is a problem. I've got my parent's spare room (with boxes all over the place) and she's got other options open to her besides that, but obviously neither of us really have any good long term solutions.
So...... does anyone know of anything out there? We'd possibly consider a houseshare provided the circumstances were right - ie, the people there didn't mind the fact they'd be living with a couple, that we had a large enough room to ourselves, etc. However, I suppose ideally we are looking for cheap one bedroom flats, overall size not being too much of a picky issue (we can't afford to let it be).
I've also got a job interview at the London School of Economics lined up this week (for a temporary administrative role) so hopefully something will come of that. If not, at least I am suddenly being taken seriously as a potential worker, so even if I fail this interview it may lead on to more through the same agency. Here's hoping.
