Shazza fruit heaven

I have just been to fruit heaven. After the gym and on the way home I was searching for a tasty snack in the green grocers so as not to erase the paltry amount of work I did in an attempt to eliminate my ample beer belly. A robust fruit caught my eye. It looked like a plum tomato except about three times larger and with a more orange tone, sitting on its head like a little pixie hat was a four leafed sprout. I picked up this 'being' and considered its substance, quite unsure whether it was indeed the sweet nectar I craved or a savoury intruder. Not to be put off by its name, which reminded me more of something an Essex girl might affectionately name her special area, the "Sharon Fruit" turned out to be a monumental discovery in the world of fruit. The skin, slightly thicker than that of a plum, burst to fill the mouth with a honey-like pulpy goodness. I ventured closer to the centre of the fruit, fully prepared for the ectasy to end and for my teeth to meet a stone or some niggly little pips, something, anything to dampen the experience. Nothing. The fruit remained consistently juicy, fleshy and sweet. As I realised this I began to suck on the fruit more and more furiously, confidently savouring this freak of nature with its 'no seeds', it's almost supernatural existence and glamourous name. I was left feeling rather abashed, nectar dribbling down my chin holding between my thumb and forefinger nothing but a pixie hat.
