in DC
So yes I made it...and I'm finally completely settled into my room. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the whole time I've been here (see facebook pic for a dorky me in high 40s weather...) but yah it's now in the upper 60s and it's goin to get even into the 70s this week (I hear it's been raining back at home heh).
My room is great, as are my roommates. I have a beautiful view of Scott Circle and a bunch of Cherry Blossoms (they are apparently a big deal here in DC...and they are currently in their "peak" of blossoming and I must say they are quite beautiful). Everyone I've met so far seems really nice and fun to be around.
I've done a bunch of touristy stuff since I got here in addition to just exploring my neighborhood and finding the grocery stores and whatnot. This city is truly amazing. So much to do and see. So many interesting people. I'm not on my own computer now but I will be posting a bunch of pictures soon (either on this LJ or I'll link it to a photoalbum)
PLEASE everyone, keep in touch. I'm getting slightly homesick (i reallllly miss my doggie) and I miss everyone a lot. E-mail me, IM me, or *gasp* you can even call (just not too late...remember the time difference ;) )
If for some reason you feel compelled to mail me something, shoot me an email or IM and I'll give you my exact mailing address.
