Ok i'm crap at fanfiction (when I mean crap I mean compared to all the other awesome writers on here!) so don't be expecting a masterpiece, should you choose to read this. Comments are greatly appreciated so I know whether to carry on or not. Whether good or bad, I'd love to hear them! =)
Near To You
Chapter One - More Than Words
‘Not to say, but if you only knew. How easy it would be to show me how you feel.’
When the filming of Legend of The Seeker began, both Bridget and Craig had to leave all they knew behind and move to a remote part of New Zealand. They began to form a bond due to their mutual sense of loneliness and this evolved into an unspoken attraction. Neither one admitting that they had any feelings for the other….
‘That’s a wrap guys!’ who’d have thought these words would’ve brought such dread to two people?!
Everyone involved in the production all gathered round as the director and producer made a final speech to congratulate everyone on a great first season. Bridget glanced over at Richard and as he caught her gaze, gave her an slight uncertain smile.
‘Now I’d just like to say a big thanks to our two great leads…give it up for Craig and Bridget everyone!’ The cast and crew turned to them both and applauded their efforts. Neither Bridget or Craig seemed to be aware of what was going on, they’d switched off to all the sights and sounds around them and could only see each other, their looks seemed to say everything but also nothing at the same time.
The director cleared his throat ‘CRAIG AND BRIDGET!’ he shouted.
They both snapped out of their mutual trance and smiled awkwardly at everyone.
Sara the producer made her way through the crowd of people to get to Bridget and Craig. ‘Great job guys, so shall I count you both in for tonight’s wrap party?’ they both looked to each other as if to silently make sure that they’d both be there. With the silent agreement in place, they both turned to Sara and nodded.
‘Great, that’s just Great!’ She smiled. ‘Ok then guys, well enjoy the rest your afternoons and I shall see you both looking glamorous tonight.’
‘I’m not sure about me but definitely Bridget!’ Craig laughed nervously as he spoke.
Bridget laughed and turned to leave, she looked over her shoulder to see Craig gazing at her once more, ‘I guess I better get going, so many dresses and so little time to try them all on’ she smiled.
‘Yeah, I’m not sure any of my dresses will still fit.’ joked Craig.
‘At least I won’t have to worry about you wearing the same one as me tonight then.’ she replied - and with that she waved goodbye and left. Would tonight be the right time to tell Bridget how he felt? Or would it be just another missed opportunity like so many before? Craig was unsure….
