Baralai is the first real accident. Sleeping with him is, that is. Gippal had never even given a man a second glance before and there he was, noticing Baralai, stomach squirming with butterflies every time they had a few minutes alone together.
It's intolerable, and there is only one answer for it.
The kisses are clumsy at first, and Gippal quickly realises that he's gone and stolen something special again. Special to some people, anyway. First kisses. His first kiss, in hindsight, barely registers in his memory. But he's not that kind of guy. Baralai, he thinks, might be.
He tries to be gentle, too, but a lack of experience on both sides doesn't help. An Al Bhed potion does, though, slick enough to ease the way and magic enough in its properties to stop it hurting. Gippal stays with him afterwards, too, keeping him warm, thinking somehow that he owes at least this much to Baralai, who was a virgin for all that Gippal is quite sure that it's about the only thing about him that's completely pure.
A tricky customer, he thinks, smiling, and kisses Baralai awake early enough so they can clean up and find their clothes and find some composure after a little too much closeness.
