Entirely Without Purpose

Mar 10, 2006 10:29

I changed my "Recent Entries" link to say "Present Day". Only now every time I click on it, I hear the Lain voice in my head saying, "Present day, PRESENT TIME!"

I blame safetypup. ;P

There's four and a half hours of your life that you can never reclaim.

I do find benefit in complaining about Lain, so maybe that can be of some value.

Still haven't finished it. I don't think it's really meant to be watched all at once, it doesn't really show it off properly.

*lol* Ammitz. It's like "some apocalyptic shit happens"

Yeah I think I saw it originally in like three chunks or something? Although leave a big time lapse inbetween viewings is probably a bad idea.

If it's so great why can't anyone tell me what the fuck it was about? :)

I've always viewed Lain as the visual equivalent of an instrumental track (like on a CD of music). It's not quite like a "normal" song, you can't explain what it's about or what it means. It's still pretty (or whatever), you can still call it music and totally love it. Just, no lyrics.

Actually that's bullshit 'cuz I just made all that up. I'm also completely bored by instrumentals usually. Heh.

Whatever, I loved Lain. ;)
