Reccer's comments: I actually have a few fics from Round 6 of acd_holmesfest that I want to rec but I’m going to start with this particular one.
It’s lighthearted, clever, charmingly silly and very, very funny. The author describes it as a shaggy dog story, which does sum it up well. The case being related is delightfully engaging but it’s the parts framing it that make the story so special. There were quite a few lines during these bits where this reader had to get a firm grip on herself before carrying on.
And the very last line is perfect.
