Reccer's comments:
This story will not be everyone's cup of tea *ahem* but for those of you who enjoy the unremitting anguish of a well-written deathfic, look no further than this heartbreaker.
I am loathe to reveal too much of the plot, because
impishtubist's writing is brilliant and masterfully done, and for maximum effect you will want to have the story unfold as the author tells it. Still, I can say that as clues are discovered one by one, you the reader will see the shape of what's coming; it positively looms and there's this incredible tension as you wait for the truth to be revealed. When it does happen, the realization is painful and devastating, just as you knew it would be. And yet you cannot stop reading.
Did I say how brilliant Imp is?
This does NOT have one of those "smile through your tears" kind of ending, just so you know. It is intense and haunting and stays with you. It's certainly stayed with me.
TL;DR:
impishtubist's "Cups of Tea, and History" = MY HEART IN A MILLION TINY SHARDS LET ME SHOW YOU IT
