Reccer's comments: This is one of the more unusual Sherlock fics I've come across in a while. Set over the span of many years, from the time Sherlock is ten to the start of ASiP, it features Sherlock, Mycroft, Mummy, and several other characters the reader will find familiar...and Captain John Hamish Watson II, a doctor who died in World War I. He exists now as a ghost, trapped between life and death and unable to remember most of the details of his life, but he's still a doctor and healer, and irresistibly interesting to the young Sherlock. The development of Sherlock, the ghost, and the relationship between them is well done and fairly unique. Not really kid!fic, not necessarily AU, it's difficult to categorize but a fun read.
