Points of Light repostathon: chapter 2
My fic Points of Light got accidentally wiped off AO3 after building up 14k hits (I didn’t quite die of horror, but it was a near thing), so I’m reposting a chapter a day in the hope that new readers will be interested, or rereaders decide to take another look. Here’s chapter 2, which brings us to the half-way point (the fic has a prologue, four chapters and an epilogue) . I’ll now take a break for a couple of days and Chapter 3 will go up on Monday.

Chapter Summary: Sherlock and John have been sharing a flat since the events of A Study in Pink, but the initial spark between them seems to have died away. And that's fine with John, who has a new girlfriend and is busy trying to be as normal as possible and not have fantasies about his flatmate. Because life owes him a rest, dammit.
Except that Sherlock thinks otherwise.
Fic Summary: I like fennishjournal's mini-review better than I like my own original summary, so here it is: 'John and Sherlock are broken but their jagged edges fit together in a way that is almost painfully right. This is intense and powerful and desperate. There is a scene where John tops the fuck out of Sherlock and, dear God, is it ever intense.'
There's BDSM in the mix, so that needs to go in the headers, but it's not the main focus of the fic. It's a relationship study, in which sex is a significant element but far from being the sole theme. It's about needing something right down to the bottom of your soul, and perhaps eventually getting it.
