Disney is buying Marvel. I'm... not sure what to make of this, beyond making a face that can only be described as 0_0.

Although I think the only way my icon could be more appropriate would be if Deadpool was wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

I have to admit, there's an undercurrent of dismay and worry to my initial WTF.

Quite possibly, but I don't know for sure: I stole the icon from someone more awesome.

I've never actually seen any Sam and Max, but LucasArts made a game out of it, and by God, I will play it one day.

Oh for goodness' sake. Disney owns Miramax. Miramax of Resevoir Dogs, Trainspotting, No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction, the Kill Bill movies (and the list goes on)... And also Dreamworks which hello, American Beauty?

My prediction? They'll leave the films to their own devices, and use their new license to produce cartoons on the Disney Channel. And given that some of the best comic book adaptations, of any kind, came out of the 90s' DC/Warner Bros partnership, coupled with the fact that whatever we think of Disney's choices tone-wise they still have some of the best animators in the business, I don't see this as a bad thing.
