Everyone's been talking about
what Ian McShane's been doing lately, so I caved and watched it. And it is... bizarrely awesome, like some mad blend of Gossip Girl and Battlestar Galactica. However, the fact that a show with such an odd premise is on network television (combined with the fact that they've made the crown prince explicitely gay and are therefore, I assume, heading for the "David and Jonathan were totally boning" interpretation of the bible) makes me wonder exactly how many episodes they're going to be able to squeeze out before it's cancelled with extreme prejudice.
And that train of thought makes me sad, because I, for one, could stand several seasons of Ian McShane making ridiculous hammy speeches sound awesome. The puppyish blond guy and hot reverend don't hurt, either. Thoughts? Comments? Fears of the wrath of the Evangalists falling on NBC?
