Breaking news: there is nothing more likely to make you crack up in public than hearing a Scottish guy say "Fo'shizzle." We're talking about a pasty, pale, 30-something Edinburghian, talking on his phone. It was all I could do to get ten metres between us before I started giggling out loud.

In other news, I have finally bought a winter coat, which came just in time: it started snowing at noon. Yay, icy death!
