the weekend flew by

I just can't believe the weekend is over already; I swear I missed it. What scares me is that the older I get, the afster time seems to move. I cannot even IMAGINE how fast it moves for my parents and my grandparents. My grandmother cries all the time, saying how she doesn't remember how she got to be so old so fast. I never want to be like that. ( Read more... )

another wise man (paul weller of the jam and style council fame) once said "life is a drink, and you get drunk when you're young." sadly, it's too late for me to take his advice.

Or in my words....

"Life is like a perpetual motion machine.... The longer it goes, the faster and faster it gets."

I believe Ferris Bueller said it best. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it." Your words are brilliant.

I don't want to grow up either. I hate having to work full-time just to pay tons of bills. It's also pretty scary to think I graduated high school 7 years ago! It feels like yesterday I was sitting in English class waiting for the bell to ring so I could go home. I'm depressed now, heh.

What happended to the summers that seemed to never end when we were in elementary school? Not to be cheesey, but to quote Bryan Adams (Yes, you can stop laughing) "When I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever."

i totally suffer from peter pan syndrome! it's nice to know i'm not alone. i'm still living in the 80s, driving around my delorean, and listening to guns n' roses. hee-hee. peter once said, "if growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, i'll never grow up, never grow up... not me!"
