 Hello!

I'm seeking some advice.  I'm currently knitting Rinoa's duster from Final Fantasy 8.  I have everything done now except the trim/bias along the arm hole edges and front edge.

Basically, I'm wondering how I should go about making the trim.

I would also recommend an i-cord. Another method besided the attatched i-cord would be to pick up stitches an then do the applied i-cord cast-off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEbaZ6COOYk . The attached i-cord might be a bit neater though. I would use i-cord for the straps as well.

I definitely like trying an i-cord for the button straps. My biggest concern with it as a trim is how flat it will lay. I don't want it to be rounded and puffy out like a cord, you know?

If you're using a yarn that can be ironed, you could iron it if it seems too puffy?

I actually used the applied i-cord cast off for a shirt recently, and it's quite flat in my opinion. Do you want me to take a photo and show you how it looks before you make up your mind?

Your i-cord definitely blended very well. I played around with a few different edgings on tester patch, and tried something else on my actual project, and frogged the edging. I think I'm going to go back and attempt and i-cord edging on the actual project and see how I like it. I have three days to finish this! eeeeeeeee
