Problems with Ella
So, I'm trying to cast on Ella from knitty.com (http://www.knitty.com/issuefall05/PATTella.html) but I'm having a hard time understanding where the extra two stitches come from at row 3. From the pattern:
"CO 2 sts.
Row 1: [RS] Kfb, Kfb. 4 sts.
Row 2: [WS] Kfb, p2, Kfb. 6 sts.
Row 3: [RS] K2, yo, k2, yo, k2. 8 sts."
HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? THERE AREN'T TWO EXTRA TO KNIT THE LAST K2!!!
I think I may be yarning over incorrectly or something (mostly because I've only done it once before and am following the SnB directions, not doing this from actual "someone showed me" experience) so I'm sorry in advance for the n00b-like question, but I'm really confused at this point. When you yarn over, you're basically just putting the yarn in the purl position and knitting a stitch, right? That's how I'm reading it from Stitch 'N Bitch. Are they just telling me to K2, put the yarn in the purl position, K2, put the yarn in the purl position, and K2?
